Well, that's all fine and dandy, darlin', but you're the one promising kisses and such at football games. When you say you'll show and then don't, we assume you don't exist. :)

IMO..playing Nebraska's a good thing
Beating NU would give you guys a big recruiting boost.
For example... in 2000, when we beat Texas...Nutt signed an incredible class...last year, we lost to Oklahoma..but signed a Top 15 class for playing them.
It's a good thing in the end

I totally agree, cth. But, the only thing I fear is the beatings that Nebraska tends to lay on people in the post-season, regardless of their down year. Ask UT, among many others. That happens to us? Well, then I think we get a negative effect on recruiting, regardless of the national exposure gotten from had just playing them. And trust me, we don't need anymore negativity in our program.
On the other hand, I feel like we have the manpower to play with these guys, if used effectively from our fearless zero Cutt. Eli will have to keep us in this game, though, with his arm because NU will run....run....run....run...and then run some more. And what is our biggest weakness? Stopping the run. And relying on Eli hasn't been the most comforting of feelings this season, as opposed to last year.
But I do agree that the recognition just from playing them can be very beneficial. I just hope we don't embarrass ourselves. Maybe, somehow, someway, we can have one more repeat performance like we had against Florida. We will most definitely need that to beat those guys. Nonetheless, I'm kind of stoked about just seeing Nebraska play live. But like Peanut said, I just hope our players aren't as star-struck as we will probably be as fans.

If we beat Nebraska, even in a down year, that's UP THERE! Like, as in, beating Notre Dame or Michigan UP THERE!
Even if we lose, let's hope it's not like Florida against the bug-eaters a few years back. That looked like a pro team toying with a Jr. Varsity squad. I couldn't watch the whole thing, it was so ugly!

I remember that game (FL vs NE). It was even worse than Jr. Varsity. It was more like pee-wee.
BTW: Ms. Lynne, I know who you are - just haven't laid eyes on you in a long, long time. (My goodness Rx, what big....eyes you have!) I do know that you are a real person - I just want to see you in person, again.

Where are you Rebel Rx? You have slipped out of town, again? Must still be running to Booneville during the week.

Wizard, you should have said in your best Jim Carey imitation (from The Mask) "Somebody stop me!"
You have really got to measure your words when responding to our lady Rx. You don't want those "big eye and her BIG smile" getting upset with you.
Sheindler's (sp.) List is nothing compared to Rx's.:D
BTW: Rx, I hope I do run into you at Wal Mart, Westside Bar-b-que or somewhere. Maybe even at the co-op! (Do ya'll have any horses?) I know your family has the land to keep some and you being a country girl and all. Living at Enterprise is sorta like living at Cotton Plant.
You are right 10Man. How about this for sports related? Cutcliffe sux!!!

Yeah, I guess I kinda goofed on that one. And...::sobs::...all I wanted to do was be funny. ::sobbing uncontrolably::
Okay Rx, how many drinks get added to your tab for this one?
Oh and Still, Westside BBQ....can we say FABULOUS?!?!?

I like Westside's b-b-q (Go to hell Jackie Sherrill) and Rendezvous' Ribs. I can do ribs just like the Rendezvous (some friends say they are better), so "one of these days" we will have to get together and do some ribs - maybe one of the baseball games this spring.
Prepare for the Independence Bowl and play like you've never played before.

I gained so much weight when I lived in Tupelo. There are so many good places to eat around north Mississippi. I've finally dropped almost all of what I gained though. I miss places like Omar's Steakhouse in Tupelo, Sparks Drive In in Belmont, Spencer's in Mooreville (which I hear burned down), and Grizzly's in New Albany (closed now, isn't it?).
And, let's not forget, oh say just about every place in Oxford...especially Proud Larry's. :)
Go Rebs!! Beat the Huskers!!!
