RE: Merchan breaks jury into 3 groups to weigh charges against Trump
BTW did you know Judge Merchan was:
Over the Trump CFO Weisselberg trial
Over the Grand Jury
Over Trump hush money trial
Over Steve Bannon trial
The level to say this is all coincidence is laughable. How was he assigned to all of the cases involving Trump and his business?

On count 1:
4 say guilty because he did X
4 others say guilty because he didn’t do X but did Y
4 more will say he’s guilty but he did neither X or Y but did Z
Judge: I’ll count that ,even though you disagree on the specific crime that was committed, as a unanimous vote against the defendant
Exactly. In American Justice---an 8-4 vote to acquit on each of those individual charges would have meant NOT ONE of those charges would have been proven to the point of winning a unanimous guilty verdict---meaning the defendant would remain free and considered NOT GUILTY of any of those specific charges by the American Justice system. Thus, with no agreement on the predicate "crime" there is nothing left to do because there is no basis for a felony charge---and without the "up charging" to a felony crime, the NY State statue of limitations has run on the misdemeanor state charge Trump is currently facing--meaning his guilt or innocence would be irrelevant at that point. Anyone arguing otherwise is simply being disingenuous.
This is a miscarriage of justice - a show trial. The jury instructions is 50 pages long but they can’t read it in deliberations for themselves but ca only ask for it to be read to them. Give me a break!
You can always ask for the instructions and its rare for it not to be given to you. And its never 50 pages long.
I've been on 7 juries.
7 jury duties, how often to y'all get called ?

lol---I never go when summoned. I get no compensation for going making it just too expensive for me if I were to get tied up for several days or weeks in a trial. I guess that makes me a bad citizen---but in my defense, its not gone unnoticed by me that everyone else in the justice system is being paid quite handsomely to be there. I'll happily perform my civic duty when I retire (lol---I may even look forward to it at that point).

We received $7.00 a day for duty and had to pay for our own parking. What bothered me was paying for the parking. I was there 5 days.

Paper American. Columbian. Son of a Columbian military officer running a kangaroo court and interfereing with an election.
Stolem election

Because he doesn’t want them to think but allow the dem operative [probably one of the two lawyers] take control of the deliberations

It's almost like the judge is leaving a trail of errors for appellate courts to find and act upon.
This jury instruction BS is almost beyond belief.

We have a winnah!
They don't care about the appeal. They want him in home confinement with no travel allowed through the election.

A lawyer-acquaintance asked me today to consider “a crazy theory” — that Merchan, for some reason, wants two distinct and seemingly contradictory outcomes. First, he wants Trump to be convicted by this jury in this trial that’s happening right now. And second, he also wants all of the convictions to be later overturned on appeal, after the election has passed.
I’m not ready to agree with that. And yet: if Merchan *Did* want both of those things to happen, what would he have done differently? Basically, nothing.

Quite so. I’ve been a member of the State Bar of Georgia for over 25 years. Have never, ever seen or heard of anything like that.

Those errors helped the prosecution and hurt the defense. His goal is conviction, so if it gets overturned (and it will) it’ll matters little to him or any dem operative. The hope is that the ‘convicted felon’ label damages Trump enough along with fed-inspired violence and the other stuff like home confinement to keep him off the campaign trail

I will add that I buy into this theory, and when the Supreme Court ultimately overturns this sham trial, then the Dems make a play to pack the Court with all of the faux outrage that a convicted former President had his conviction overturned by a "conservative and biased" Supreme Court. End game is they steal the election and get to play the victim post-election.

No but that’s beside the point. For now they just want at least 1 convictions so as to run the label ‘convicted felon’ during the campaign in hopes it turns the tide for Biden. They could care less if this is overturned later on in the appeals process or the judge gets blasted over it
This.
And it would serve the loons as enough predicate for Sloe* to slink his way out of the looming disaster of the debates and back into the basement.
This guy Sloe* is a complete fraud and has been a half-wit, racist grifter for 50 years in DeeCee.
Someone explain to me how a guy making, on average, around 80 grand a year for half a century and his semi-literate “Dr” wife (You ever read her fake “dissertation”?, I have) have 3 luxury homes on the coast.
And No, it wasn’t some phony book deal for 8 mill when no one bought the damn thing.
Roooskie Rubles and Chinese communist Party yuan spend just as good as the American dollar I guess.
Y’all starting to figure this out yet?
Suckers.

We’ll see. I’ve heard from several TV lawyers “No chance” of an appeal in less than 5 months.
I hope they’re wrong and would think they are wrong with as nutty as this fake case clearly is, 5 minutes sounds like enough time to cobble this appeal together.
Should have been tossed on first hammer by the corrupt “judge”, or if nothing less thrown out on summary judgement, there’s no case here to prove

How's Blinken doing BTW? Did he find work after he resigned?
Blinkin will be indicted immediately upon Trump taking office. For the “51 intelligence officials” letter that was a clear a violation of the law according to democrats. Hillary next. Then mush brains.
I hope he arrests every ******** involved with this crap, all the way to the top.
Then the trial can be done the exact same way his is being done. Watch them squirm.
While I was just poking at TB for his idiocy, I do not think anyone will be arrested. They own the jurisdiction where any trial would be. This country is truly very close to real violence. And it’s a shame.
You aren't wrong, but if the same judge can be assigned for multiple cases involving Trump and his allies "randomly" then it can be done in DC too with the right setup. I'm hoping Trump has taken notes on how to get that done for next year.
Find some crimes for the Soros family too, try them in a right-leaning area.
Remember “Lock her up, lock her up” the crowds use to chant fun at the rallies?
Then MOB won and he maturely said Nah, no need for that, we’ve got a Country to run and fix.
Then the Marionette gets picked to be put in place and what does he, his handlers and gilted Garland decide to do?
Wreck the entire Country and try to put away his predecessor for life plus 700 years.
Lock ‘em all up. Remember the Deep State doesn’t exist and they never wiretapped his phone calls?
Yet they persist in their ignorance and folly.
Amazing

What one must understand is that they are fighting for their lives. Literally. This breaks bad and they all better catch the first plane to China.
