Yes. More RINO leadership will DEFINITELY lead to another Democrat Administration in 2024. If GOP representatives are stupid enough to continue to ignore their own voters, its hard to see it working out well for the Party. Some of those people in DC need to look up the meaning of the word "representative".

McCarthy cut a deal with the devil for some office spaces (Pelosi, Hoyer) and thought he could renege on a deal with his own party.
He got burned. He should be humbled and humiliated for both lying and double dealing. But ... politician.

You might as well vote D to save yourself the heartache.
We have a mental disorder in conservatism that doesn't understand that if you want to change things for the better, it actually helps to, you know, win.
Only this group can somehow think losing helps.
But muh Rinos! Democrats just need to sit back as a voting bloc and watch the silliness.

RE: Matt vs McCarthy
Too many Republicans seem to think ONLY McCarthy can lead. I have no idea what this incompetent weak leader has done to earn this Messiah like status among some. If doing largely nothing of consequence is the bar for Messiah's these days---there are plenty of folks in the Republican conference who can do that. McCarthy will not be missed. Pick a new guy and move on. Its not rocket science. There is work to be done. Get in conference, do your internal bickering behind closed doors----pick a new leader---close GOP ranks in public---and start getting the nations work done.

It's maddening. It's the cheap whiskey hangover from the old angry white Tea Bag Party.
We have largely the same goals and values but the core of the republican party is so hell bent on losing. All or nothing. They are guaranteeing getting all of us the latter.

lol. If that was true the RINO's would just pass the stuff that the base of the Party wanted. A Party that continually ignores its base deserves its fate. The bottom line is McCarthy was not a good Speaker. Pick a new guy. Pick the right leader and the GOP could easily emerge from this in a better position than they were before.

I dont understand why RINO's vote to lose either. Fortunately, the base is slowly using the primary system to remove these representatives who refuse to "represent" the base. So--the issue is being addressed. Hopefully, in the near term, the GOP will unite behind a new Speaker and get back to work.

If we had a speaker who was working with Pelosi to ensure he stayed in power, we already lost. And thats how you lose elections.

They did. The family bill. The energy bill. The budget bill that cut over $100 billion. Some people just haven't figured out republicans lost the Senate I guess.
No one is arguing that McCarthy is some messiah as you put it. Just making an argument yourself rather than the one that was actually presented.
The argument is McCarthy or someone farther left. That's what the choices are. When faced with that several people said he might as well be a dem. Despite being shown that several very conservative bills have passed through the house the last 6 months.
Why do all the socialist dems vote Biden? Because they know they can get something rather than nothing from him. Now people here would rather America fall to the dems rather than get something.
There are consequences to republicans not having the Senate. There are consequences to having a paper thin majority in the house to where just a couple of centrist republicans can control the whole process and join the dems on a key piece of legislation at any time. Just the same as just a few republicans joined all the democrats in taking out McCarthy. Which did not happen because the dems thought McCarthy was just the same as Sessions.

If McCarthy is not the Messiah, then what’s the issue?. Find a new speaker and continue on doing all the successful things you think we’ve done. The majority isn’t gone. No RINO has been removed from the House. Nothing has changed except for Messiah McCarthy is no longer speaker, yet some people act as if that’s the end of the world. There is no reason the Republicans cannot emerge from this with a more effective House. I see this is an opportunity to get better—-not the end of the world.

lulz, yea thats it. Who was it that was so confident that he was saying Bring It On! McCarthy.
And why was he confident? Because he had already struck a deal with Pelosi.
And why did he lose? Because he got bent over by Pelosi.

First get out of here with the condescending idiotic McCarthy messiah comments. No one said he was. Just writing that to have an offensive straw man argument no one is even making. He's not a good speaker. That's not what the argument is about though and you know it.
Second. Sure if that was a possibility then sure. What your saying is akin to voting third party in the election between Trump and Biden. If everyone did it then ya a third party could win.
But, there really are only two choices. We have already had enough republicans say they will not vote for Jordans or some of the others put forward under any circumstances to make it where they will not win. Under any circumstances.
Which only makes it all the more likely that just a handful of republicans team up with the dems to put Sessions in power or Liz Cheney.
Which gets back to the same argument that's already been done before about is that any better than McCarthy anyway. Which is so silly it shouldn't have to even be discussed, but has already been debunked anyway.
Your choices are McCarthy or filth. I think this will close to 100% chance land us with someone worse than McCarthy. Far worse. Some people deserve the crap platter America is about to be fed.

Gaetz cut a (as in one) deal with McCarthy to do a number of things and to get a "kill switch" on the Speaker. McCarthy reneged on the deal with Gaetz; McCarthy thought Gaetz would never dare hold him to the deal or use the "kill switch". Whups.

You don’t want any Messiah McCarthy talk, and then you immediately launch into an argument that ends with McCarthy being only man on earth who can save us from the Democrat Filth. Goodness gracious. It’s NOT McCarthy or filth. It’s McCarthy or another Republican. Messiah McCarthy is NOT the only Republican who can function as Speaker. That’s all I’m saying. I think Republicans can put their big boy pants on and govern with another republican as Speaker. There are several solid options currently running. I’m just don’t see changing Speakers as a bad thing when we both agree that McCarthy was not a good Speaker. I think people are over reacting to the situation.
