And that info is coming from where? All I see are the same west coast guys that have been mostly wrong. If $$$ concessions are true & that hasn't changed their stance then what will? If the no vote is politically motivated then we might as well move on

Why should we move on while Stanford and Cal are still lobbying?
Looks like Standford and Cal gave up on the Big Ten bid. We can move on when Standford and Cal starts having a serious discussion with AAC/MWC or the ACC issues a statement confirming it's not expanding.
Unless that happens, my position is that the ACC will expand.

Maybe they're looking at a bigger plan of expansion beyond just those 2 schools....and also looping Apple into the talks? Maybe it could be a western 4 pod and 2 from south (SMU and ? Memphis or somebody) to please or at least 12 involved. A combination of academic schools, pay for the membership schools (SMU), and some in between that could help with the ACCN/Apple/ESPN western time slots
I wish some of you could envision an east coast to west coast conference with games going on all day on Saturday, the ability to have double headers on Thursday/Friday, and housed/paid for on both ESPN and new partner Apple, with them wanting in live sports and stashing loads of cash to spend, as a blessing in disguise.. more importantly I hope our decision makers in ACC are already discussing and crunching numbers on this.

I sincerely believe this is what is going on. The ACC brass have to be thinking ahead of who will be leaving as the GOR approaches. If they aren't they are very shortsighted.

Seems like the ACC has opened a window, but no one really communicates any details on the hurdles to expansion.

Clemson does not want out of the ACC. They only want more money and to be inoculated from three northeast ACC football games a year.
I'm not so sure that Clemson doesn't want out of the ACC. If the ACC TV money weren't so woefully inadequate, they would probably be ok with staying in the ACC. It's certainly an easier path to the CFP.
Regarding the football scheduling, the divisional setup was a huge blunder by the ACC. Clemson and FSU were forced to play both BC and Syracuse annually, games that are FAR less valuable to ESPN than Clemson/VT, Clemson/Miami, FSU/VT, and others. Divisionless is a very welcome change.

Yes, that DOES make the ACC inventory more valuable. Don't you think the Big Ten and Big XII know that? That's why they both struck this year, rather than wait until the ACC gets an idea what it's media rights are REALLY worth.

I wish the ACC would come to a conclusion on this Califord thing. Either they're going to let them into the conference or not. Dragging it out doesn't hurt the ACC but it's terrible for the Pac4. They need to know how they should get on with their lives. With or without Califord makes a big difference.
