Yup. That said---Boise is extremely far away travel wise----and its looking like maybe the Bronco's might be on a long term decline....so, maybe a more geographical rebuild makes more sense. I will say---after yesterdays Houston vs UTSA game---the atmosphere at the Alamodome for that game looked great on TV and there was rivalry level "chippyness" on the field. The potentially for some real rivalries exists if these new schools really invest and buy into their programs in the way UTSA has. The loyalty and ferver of the AppState fans is one reason I liked that program as an addition even though they didnt have the best "market". They win---have a good TV atmosphere. They are still growing and ascending----Im convinced they would have been good add for the AAC.

I’ve had a similar take on Boise. I think it’s easy to come across as hating on them for being in a rival conference but should their football success come crawling to a halt they really offer nothing. They’re a couple of bad coaching hires from being a bad add to a conference. You can make the argument it’s already playing out that way.

That said UTSA and UAB are additions I’m excited for and would have been keen on App State too.

I think a lot of it was about recruiting for the remaining 8. Makes sense to me. ECU taking over UNCC's stadium and skull dragging them in front of recruits would help us out.

First of all, UAB has been invited to 5 bowls in a row (South Carolina cancelled). Second, you left off our 3 division titles and 2 conference titles including one we won in your stadium.

They did this while practicing on their brand new practice field, next to their brand new football operations building, and now playing games in their brand new football stadium.

Oh and basketball, you know the other revenue sport, just finished its complete renovation of its practice facility. This led to transfers and a tourney appearance. Also, heavy favorites to go dancing again this year.

We spent, we won, we got called up.

And since it is college athletics, we also have the academics over you.

We will only get better.
