I have an unorthodox idea for how to save college football.
Damn the Negative Nellies I will put it out there anyway.
A Conference Champions Tournament. This tournament invites only the conference champions. No matter if the conference has 8 or 18 members. Conference champions and only conference champions (No independents) can participate. If it survived and eventually became as popular as the basketball tournament maybe some of the mega conferences would break up give more of their members a shot at the national title. And perhaps college football could reclaim some semblance of rationality.

So a teams like Kent State and Louisiana would be playing in this tournament while Alabama stays home? That should be a money-maker.

Hey--Alabama should have played better and won their conference. What we change the rules for the little darlings . Why should they or anyone else get special treatment --win and in

We agree.
Many SEC fans truly believe they deserve 3 of the 4

You could get tv to sign up for it. But you wouldn't get the P5 conferences to.

You just provided sound rationalization for a split from the g5. Why not let the winner of the SAA play for it they are going to let kent state and la lafayette in over bama.
its ridiculous if you want the best team
btw bama won their conference and lost the natty to their conf runner up
oh and to the OP. disagreeing with an asinine idea does not make one a negative nelly

So "win and in" means 7-7 is in but 12-1 is not in?
7-7 Kent State IN
L 33 Western Michigan (7-5)
L 31 TAM (8-4)
L 24 Central Michigan (8-4)
L 22 Iowa (10-4)
L 21 Maryland (6-6)
L 18 Northern Illinois (9-5)
L 14 Wyoming (6-6)
12-1 Georgia OUT
Kent State
5 Home Games
63,890 TOTAL Attendance
12,778 Average
$EC Championship Game
78,030 Attendance
So, Kent State DESERVES to be in with 7 losses to teams with a combined 34 losses playing a MAC schedule, but Georgia with 1 loss to a team with 1 loss DESERVES to be out?
You think you are a right wing conservative and I lie about stuff I post about you? What a clown.
Kent State deserves to be in ahead of Georgia by one metric. Socialism. You just described socialism...and yourself. BLM are alt right extremists compared to you.
Keep up the good work Karl.

Try to keep up STALKER. According to the criteria proposed by the OP-----YES Georgia should have played better and won their conference------I know you agree with the everybody gets a trophy crowd--but why change the OP's rule and change the rules for the little darling bulldogs----Oh I get it --you as ALWAYS are PRETENDING the OP' criteria was/is different
As always your bootlickin power 5- SEC bias is showing----like always against the LIL O MEMPHIS'-Miami Ohio' of the world

And March Madness is infinitely more exciting than the 4 team football NIT. Many people just don't get it, never will. They have some notion that the talking heads are best at determining who should get to play. They just don't thilnk that all college football players should be able to play for something. The only players who they think count are the ones who play for the coaches who make big 7/8 figure salaries. The NFL is more rational and professional, college football is merely corrupt. 2 20 team conferences and all of you Tiger haters can watch your favorite teams destroy a wonderful history and tradition in peace.

I object. There are no Nellies here amongst the nattering nabobs of negativity.
