I don't know who was advising Lester.. He needs to fire them.. He never had a chance to be selected TBH.. but I get it, Lester like other upperclassmen on the team felt betrayed by Penny and left.. Emoni Bates should have never been a starter.

P.D. I think it's time for you to change your signature.. This Biden admin will go to the worst place in history.. stock market at all time low in bear market.. gasoline at all time high with highest inflation ever heading to recession.. but keep hating the orange man because he used to post mean tweets.

The “only” starter that wasn’t starter material was Alo.... What most are failing to realize, is that Penny’s dedication to a pg that can’t shoot, can’t feed the post; has a terrible turnover to assist ratio and is marginal at best at the foul-line....This is the elephant in the room.... deal with it...Alo has has 4+ years.... Please describe “any” area where he has shown marginal improvement 01-wingedeagle

I got a warning from the mods and had to remove my conservative 'political' signature. Was told everyone would have to remove politically charged sigs but 2 months later and clearly Mimi's garbage is still up.....

That's weird. CONFUSED_USA, Mimi, UofMemphis, etc, all have openly political garbage in their signatures.

Minott certainly made the right decision for him.

Lester has a shot with the 2 way, but certainly can make a good living as a pro somewhere. I think he was just ready to go.

Ouch! 8 spots because of "traffic". I don't pay enough attention to the NBA to know, but #5 to #13 is bound to be a big drop in $$.

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basket...alex-lomax

Marginal Improvement (since year one):
- Minutes per game (yeah yeah)
- Field Goal Percentage (+5.9%)
- 3 point Percentage (+11.7%)
- Rebounds (+0.2)
- Assists (+1.6)
- Blocks (+0.2)
- Steals (+0.7)
- Personal Fouls (+0.2 haha)
- Turnovers (+0.7 haha)
- Points (+1)

Other than the shooting percentage, those pretty much meet the definition of "marginal" improvements. Unfortunately those stats were a little better for ALO last year (2020-21), but he's still better than when he first came.

04-bow Thanks Arrdy.....This is cute03-lmfao does for the definition of “marginal” to a tee.....However, exposes the exact elephant....Alo remained the same player over his tenure @ Memphis, as those stats reflect the improvement of the players around him.....Memphis/Penny improved the roster...Hence recruiting classes and records;NIT Championship as well as advancement in NCAA tournament.....Alo has been consistently PITIFUL03-idea

Signed a two way deal pally. Hello.

Lester did it!.. I guess his 3 pt percentage was good enough to give him a chance in this modern day NBA.. Wish him the best at Golden State.

the good thing for Lester is that even if he doesn't make it in the NBA...he has the skill level to play overseas still...AND still making a living for him/family.

It’s a different NBA now. It belongs to players who can step out and the the 3. Traditional bigs like Duren are needed but will second priority. Duren went early for the more traditional bigs. 3 years likely $10 million is no small thing

"$10 million is no small thing"

Duren is going to be a superstar and is going to get paid in year 4. IF we had a good point guard, Duren would have been completely unstoppable. The whole team would have been unstoppable, actually.

Congrats to Duren. He recently did some commercials for Blackrock. Here's one.

Ignoring a problem and pretending it doesn't exist does not make it go away....

It depends on the problem.

We are not dogs. Dogs have to bark at what bothers them. Luckily, they are only bothered by what goes on in their immediate vicinity.

And if they bark, growl, snarl long enough it goes away.

I'm pretty sure that approach doesn't work for a message board.

I agree. I think there will be several teams that regret not taking him when they had the chance or not trading up to get him.
He will end up a slightly larger and more athletic version of Bam down in Miami. Jalen has a smooth mid range shot which will become really consistent with more and more training. As long as he works hard he has all the tools to be a great NBA player.

I don't know who was advising Lester.. He needs to fire them.. He never had a chance to be selected TBH.. but I get it, Lester like other upperclassmen on the team felt betrayed by Penny and left.. Emoni Bates should have never been a starter.

Lester did not feel "betrayed". If he stayed in college, it was going to be at Memphis. He just realized, he had reached his peak for college ball. 1 more year was not going to help him one bit, and just shave off a bit on his career earning potential. He was ready to go - good for him. I'm pulling for him to make it.
