Duren is a traditional big. All the bigs before him had more versatile skills. Moving to the Knicks now.

Duren will likely be the best center in the class. His midrange will develop and he will be a force and a rim runner.

I agree but the first round was a wing heavy round. Bigs need to be able to step out. Duren will play in the league a long time. He is a beast, an enforcer for guards coming done the lane, a rim protector.
He has limited range. Some say inconsistent, poor from the line, gets in foul trouble.

It will be fun watching him grow.

Detroit GM said they planned to take Duren with the 5th pick, until Jaden Ivey fell out of the top 4. Then the Pistons set up the 3 way trade with the Hornets and Knicks to get Duren at #13.

Minott certainly made the right decision for him.

Lester has a shot with the 2 way, but certainly can make a good living as a pro somewhere. I think he was just ready to go.
