Our current team has more drama than any Tiger team I can remember. More than Tic Price, more than the Grey and Alexander debacle. Stupid and foolish to say that our drama is no different than anyone else's. Not true
I don't know. Coach Pastner's team suffered from constant drama. From hurt players to punished players, it was almost a game to game challenge as a fan. And I loved and supported Josh. This is almost harder because it seems like a different player out game to game, but I remember the game where T.Burrell was suspended for a game, and we lost, and leaving the game I told my wife that if I would have known I would have not gone to the game. It was the first time I actually thought of the games as entertainment. If I go to Musicfest this year and the Foo Fighters are not there I will be disappointed in the same way as that year.

And Coach Pastner's best players, outside of Will Barton, were all head cases. Joe couldn't accept his limitations, Adonis was scared of getting hurt, and Austin transferred even though he was going to be the focal point of the offense. And Tarik transferred even though he was the go to guy as well. Josh's best guys were guys that played above their abilities, like DJ and Chris Crawford. I think his one mistake was taking M Dixon instead of keeping A Barton. But what he did with Geron was incredible.

Duren and Minott are NBA bound. Bates might make it but so far he is a bust. Not sure he has the work ethic to last even if drafted.
Nolley probably goes to Europe. Timberlake needs a jump shot and has an outside chance on a few years.
Dont see Quinones in the NBA, certainly not anyone else on our squad for that matter. Duren and Minott will likely have really nice careers.
Nothing wrong with having a nice college experience, getting your degree and moving on.
Minott may be a better pro than Duren, tough to tell but they both have "it". Not really sure anyone else on our team does. That should be enough to lead us into the post season if the players roles were clearly defined,. Instead Penny plays "positionless" basketball which fails to take advantages of what should be his primary weapons..
It is very, very frustrating to watch.
Agreed...
Positionless basketball works on the offensive end of the floor when you have a bunch of well rounded guys...We have a bunch of guys who do 1 thing well...So the offense has to put them in those spots to do that 1 thing.

+3 Pastner managed the team like a day care.

Lots of “concussion” and “tendinitis “ issues with that team.
“Frank’s Fault” was the mantra for many folks.

That’s what I mean, it is “outside of the box thinking” if you have people, you have drama, period

Some (part of fanbase, media) enjoy drama. Stir it, encourage it, attempt to create it. IT'S AMAZING!
Plan to remove drama:
1) Turn off local media.
2) Ignore fans that can't enjoy a win.
3) Drink beer.

Cal's teams had plenty of drama. Difference was things were better contained back then. And the team was winning bigly.
He had a lot of drama his first 5 seasons. 1st it was Kelly Wise and Scooter vs Wagner. Then it was Billy Richmond vs everybody. Then it was Sean Banks vs everybody. Hopefully Penny is learning and this year will be the last of it.
