Get Ready for Your Government-Issued N95
Quote:In many ways, the Omicron variant of COVID-19 has been disappointing for Democrats and their hypochondriac base. While hospitalizations are up and cases are way up, length of stay and severe outcomes are down. In fact, a new study was just released that showed that out of 52,000 patients, researchers couldn’t find a single person who was put on a ventilator. Deaths also are also not following the case curve as in past COVID spikes.
With all of that out in front of them, the hysterics have had to double down on claims that case numbers are the most important barometer, even as the vast majority of cases are either asymptomatic or mimic the common cold. That means another round of “stop the spread” propaganda. Yet, the admission that cloth masks don’t actually do much of anything has represented a stumbling block. How can the left continue to push a mitigation measure that even their own approved COVID-tyrants are saying doesn’t work?
Well, Democrats think they’ve found their next move. Are you ready for your government-issued N95?
It’s hard to know where to begin in calling out this abject nonsensical, completely unnecessary proposition.
Let’s start with the fact that mass usage of N95s has not actually been shown to “slow the spread” any more than cloth masks have. Yes, there have been lab studies that show a higher rate of efficacy compared to other mask types, yet those lab studies also showed some level of efficacy for surgical masks. Despite those “results,” the real-world data continues to show that mask mandates in general (because of a combination of the ineffectiveness of the masks themselves and unrealistic expectations on the wearer) do not actually have any marked effect on the spread of the virus.
You will never get normal people to wear any type of mask 100% properly nor will you get them to abide by a real sanitization schedule. Further, N95s require a professional fitting to even have any real effectiveness. Mailing them out in bulk is asinine. Lastly, returning to the question of efficacy in general, we also have mountains of anecdotal cases where people who religiously wore N95s were infected anyway.
The point is this: Even if someone wants to argue that N95s offer some level of protection in some perfectly defined situation (i.e. fitted, sanitized, and worn religiously), that protection is almost assuredly canceled out by the rigors of normal life. The high transmissibility of COVID-19 means that even if someone does everything right eight times out of ten, they’ll simply contract the virus on the ninth and tenth time. That is the most logical explanation for why so much real-world data shows mask mandates are completely ineffective.
Let’s also talk about the fact that CDC Dir. Rochelle Walensky has admitted in the past that N95 masks as a public solution are not workable.
Remember all those viral pictures early in the pandemic of nurses with bruised faces because they were wearing N95 masks all day? Now, the government, after using that as propaganda of how terrible the pandemic is, wants to force that on normal people. And for what? To stop a virus that can’t be stopped and is also milder than the flu based on the available data we currently have? In a population in which over 70% of people have received a shot of the vaccines?
Despite that, the N95 mandates are already here in some areas.
We should call that what it is: Child abuse.
Once again, sane people have to stand up to this. Those of us who looked at the data early on and saw clearly that cloth masks were pointless are now going to have to lead the charge again against N95 mandates. Enough is enough. We aren’t doing this.

I always thought the government should've mailed everyone Zinc, Vitamins C & D at the start of the pandemic and encourage social distancing (while protecting nursing homes) instead of lockdowns and all the other stupid policies. Encouraging healthy living would've probably saved a lot more lives.

The government will spend billions on N95 masks that will go in pockets and collect dust in cars and be ineffective after 1 use. Insanity.

I always thought the government should've stayed in its lane and let people decide what's best for themselves.
