My late youngest son went to Akron to try to walk on to their soccer team ... but couldn't keep his grades up long enough to make it to try outs.

Indeed, after bouncing around chasing different soccer opportunities, it was when he went to a community college that didn't play soccer that he finally obtained a degree.

Montevallo Falcons beat LMU 3-2, and tie Florida Southern 2-2. Not bad!! PCC dropped a close one to Lagrange college though, 2-3.

I have been meaning to revisit this topic for awhile. The Montevallo Falcons won the Gulf South Conference regular season title, but we got upset in the GSC men's soccer tournament by Spring Hill College 1-2. Will have to look and see how Pensacola Christian did.

PCC Eagles were the #2 seed in the NCCAA Division 2 South Regional Tournal being held at Bob Jones University in South Carolina, facing off against Trinity Baptist of Florida. Trinity Baptist would pull the upset, 2-1 over PCC.

The Montevallo Falcons are still in the hunt for an NCAA Division 2 tournament!!! They are ranked #9 in Super Region @2!!! If they qualify, the NCAA Division 2 tournament would begin November 20.
