I can’t bring myself to root for Appy. Respect, or course. But come on… I just can’t do it.
And yes I’ll call you Appy every day until I die, just to piss you off. I do it with conference brotherly love, of course.
Speaking of, Arkansas State fans, do you prefer AState, A-State,
A State, Ark State, Arkansas State, or stAte?
Which may I say is a phenomenal logo.
Also, care to delve into the Arkansas-A State history/rivalry?
I assume some bad blood is there.
Methinks you won't be impressed with the old marketing . . . but that crowd!

I don’t see GaSo on anyone’s list. Hard to imagine with Beautiful Eagle Creek, gnats, and a gimmicky offense. It’s also nestled in the state where Deliverance was filmed.
Deliverance is about the Appalachian Mountains. There’s not a mountain within 200 miles of Statesboro but nice try.
Geography may not be a strength of yours, but Appalachian Mountains run all the way down to Georgia. Maybe that’s why we do so well plucking some of our best players out of Georgia.
Is correct that there is not a mountain within 200 miles of statesboro, while we are talking geography.

Are you saying that Deliverance was filmed closest to Georgia State?

Clayton is 100 miles from Atlanta and 225 miles from Statesboro. I don't say that; math does and history do.
It's a cop out but when bowl season rolls around I'll root for whoever the SB team is in the game...even if it's The Stink.
I think we can collectively say that all of our teams have chips on our shoulders, and any time you can knock CUSA or AAC down a peg or two we're all for it, regardless of who the Belter is.
Southern Miss has tremendous history with ULL going back to when I was a Freshman at USM playing against Brian Mitchell. Lets not forget our baseball rivalry either. My Sister lived in Lafayette for 14 years back in the late 80's and early 90's. We played many a game of Donkey Kong at Pete's Pub when I was in my 20's so I have fond memories of ULL.

Yes filmed but about Also you do realize Boone is closer to the filming site than Statesboro in distance and culture lol. Are we really going to rehash crap smack that has been said for 30+ years and use a film made in 1972? Or can we keep the thread on track?
As long as you realize the goat population per capita is greater in Statesboro than in Boone!
Maybe but Goat Tinder profiles in Boone are way higher lol. Anyways GS folks are not worried long term about how all this plays out in any area. No, the location is not picturesque but that is about all I am worried about comparing anything to a regional university. Enjoy the win this year we will be back on track in short order.
I’ll have to take your word for it regarding goat tinder. And the game this year is the perfect condition for a GaSo upset. App expects them to be down, but your guys will want this pretty bad. Just hope it snows and doesn’t rain.
In a normal year, I'd say anything can happen. But this team is on life-support right now.

You mean sac-a-lait?
The only name debate bigger than UL(L) in this state between North and South LA.
My dad is huge into crappie fishing. I had no idea that they had another name.
Prairie and river parish Cajuns call them sac-a-lait (sack of milk). CENLA and north, people in LA say crappie or white perch.
I've got a buddy in Saint Francisville that introduced me to the term sac-a-lait. Another friend in Pass Christian that also uses that term. Me being from Eastern Arkansas, have just always called them crappie. However, there are some old timers around that call them white perch. Either way, it's my favorite fish to catch and eat.
