And the Ramblers after that.
And even the Crimson Panthers for a bit (An Alabama grad President ripped it off).
Up until last year we had a classroom building for 75 years that was a converted parking garage.

We were literally founded next to the railroad tracks and next to Underground Atlanta. When the building that was the football practice facility was purchased on 888 MLK, they actually found secret compartment in the warehouse foundation that may have been bootleggers hiding spots. The complex is now the Soccer Complex and MARTA elevated rail goes right by the edge of the field. So we have a long railroad association, hence the Sound the Horn campaign.

Several buildings on campus are or were pre WW II office building with a couple being pre WW I.

GSU and GT are the closest located campuses to each other in FBS.

Also the location where Jacob's Pharmacy stood is on campus. It's where the Andrew Young School of Policy studies stands. On May 8, 1886, Dr. John Pemberton sold the first glass of Coca-Cola at Jacobs' Pharmacy. The building that houses the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies was built in 1905 and was formerly Fourth National Bank.

The campus is also home to the building that was the Dixie Coca-Cola Bottling Company. It is the oldest surviving building associated with the early days of "Coke.

RE: Interesting things about your school
The location where Coastal sits today, is due to funding concerns between Conway, and Myrtle Beach residents. Each other stated they would not fund or support the school if it was in the other city. So leaders picked a location outside of either city limits, and as close to half way as they could. To appease local officials, in order to secure funding.

Funny part is Conway would later annex the land that Coastal sits on, and is now considered to be within City limits. This was many years after the new campus was built.
