That is a pretty good link. Thanks!

Hopefully is updates automatically so as the years go on it becomes more and more accurate. Right now 1 guy ordering tickets for his family in a remote area can swing this county top 3 by himself.

It also uses Vivid Seats which, while being a fine ticket reselling service in my experience, isn't a commanding leader in the field and isn't the way most ODU (and assumedly other teams) buy their tickets.

Both are put into a holding pattern with a toothless "alliance" while the B1G considers whether or not to join the SEC arms race.

As a theoretical thought exercise, assume that the Earth has a diameter of 3000 miles and that the East and West coast are separated by a 200 mile Paclantic channel. Basically that the PAC and ACC are now adjacent. What kind of raiding/reconfiguring happens?

Is geography the only thing keeping those 2 conferences from forming a 3rd conference on par with the SEC and B1G?

Nope, IMO dead weight would be. If the ACC and PAC formed a single conference, its top 12 or 14 or so schools would be equivalent in brand value to the SEC, or at least the B1G.

But so far, nobody has figured out how to shed the lesser schools, and with 26 members, the per-capita value of this merged conference would be the same as it is in the separate ACC and PAC leagues, so ... there's no value in a merger.
