Mine too.

He was the winning pitcher in Rice's first-ever win in Omaha, 7-2 over Okie State in 1999, and I was extremely happy to be there.

1 out BB followed by HR in B2. 0-2. With the Owls power offense, that may be enough for MTSU.

E6 follows. Then SB alter throw hits the umpire who decided to position himself directly in front of the bag??? K caught stealing at 3B ends the inning.

As to the unis, I think the Owls are in all gray.

I asked this earlier. Why are our viewing options so awful. Heck, Rice just got the CF camera a couple of years ago about 10 yrs after most other programs had it. This is a big deal for those of us that can’t make games or many road trips. I watched a HS game the other night that was head and shoulders better than this CUSA trash. If they can do it why can’t CUSA. Also, is Rice barred from selling broadcast rights on their own to ESPN etc as Tex State has done or do they have to go with the CUSA conference dictators that don’t have a clue how to market a product. I think I know the answer!!!

Current broadcast quality from Reckling is 1000 times better than this crap. If CUSA has standards for broadcasts, they leave much to be desired.

Then again, there is not much worth watching so far for a Owl fan.

And no need to save for next season since Bragga needs to be gone. Pitchers used to go longer in the old days. They were not taken out by pitch count but when they started to get tired.

We had better media coverage in the last days of the old SWC with more TV games and radio coverage.

At this point (and it COULD possibly play into some of the decisions above) I remember us going to Omaha with ridiculously gaudy numbers (50-10??) and playing against lots of teams who finished more like 35-20. Rather than win from the start and play from the front, those schools focused on having fresh arms for the tournaments and Omaha. Of course this was true for the good baseball conferences, but it also seemed true of other g5 schools. That's an advantage of tournament play.

Well, we're not going to Omaha, so no reason to save anybody for anything.

Couple of walks sandwiched around a hit and run single load the bases in B3. Garcia gets out of it on an F8 well hit ball to LC. 0-2 going to T4.

Crack CUSA-TV staff at MTSU finally put up today’s graphics at the top of the screen.

Garibay gets 1 out double off left field wall. Bulman walks. 2 on 1 out. Mound visit. 6-4 makes it runners at the corners, 2 outs. 3-2 pop up to CF ends the threat. 0-2 going to B4.

Looking for silver linings... Owls are out hitting MTSU 3-2! :sarcasm alert:

Walsh thrown out trying to stretch a 2 out single into a double. 1-2 heading to B6.

Owls have 3 outs left to find an offense.

MTSU loads bases, but Wood gets the K looking on a 3-2 count to send it to the 8th.

I do not understand. With the bases loaded, one out in the bottom of the 7th (of a 7 inning game) of a tie game, the MTS coach pinch hits for his .373 hitter who bats third with a freshman hitting .240!! Unless that guy got hurt in the field the last half inning, that makes no sense. After the two previous hitters walked, the PH strikes out on 3 pitches. Wow.

I am not watching or listening, but checking the gametracker periodically. It was not clear to me. Did Wood start the inning or come in after the initial walk? Thanks.
