Bad news for WKU softball. CUSA. Tournament MVP Kennedy Sullivan heads to the transfer portal. Totally sucks. No doubt our best player. 2nd best average and leading home run hitter and a good pitcher. Had 2yrs left. I could understand if we were a so so team. We probably would have been the favorites next year. Have now lost our 2 batting average leaders and our top 2 home run hitters. 29 home runs between them this year.?

And so the off-season poaching begins. Sullivan will wind up either in the SEC or at Oklahoma because that’s just how they roll... a few top recruits and an already developed G5 all-star team.

About two weeks ago UNT picked up one of UAB's pitchers, Jaycee Cook.

Today the Mean Green are back at it, adding Purdue's ace Ashley Peters. Peter's led Purdue's pitchers in "games stated" and also tied for the most wins in their rotation. Last season Peter's earned wins over teams such as Penn State, Iowa, Northwestern, and Wisconsin.

It is too early for Charlotte to start finding a place to put the trophy, but it is amazing how quickly this team has been turned around. Our last softball coach was with us for 25 years and had a record of 630-711-2. Our new coach is about to start her second season, and of course last season really didn't count, and she already has us at #1 in the conference preseason. I am going to actually go to some games, which I have never done before.
