Yeah, I wrote the thread title. This was split from the recruiting thread. Second time I had to do it in a few days.

This thread is like daja vu all over again! Year after year after year after year JJ can't recruit! He doesn't play freshmen! He doesn't recruit BIG men! His recruits can't shoot! He relies on transfers! etc etc. Things don't change and this program is spiraling downwards. If you can't see that then you are wearing "rose colored glasses!" For the first time since the mid 60's I purposely missed listening to a game on the radio. Refused to pay a fee to watch it on my computer. It's only taken 60 years but I think JJ has finally broke me. This is not the same ODU program I have followed and rooted for in the past. I will not support this crap anymore. Cut and paste the same discussions we had in here 5 years ago and they still apply. I don't feel like I am abandoning the ODU ship, I feel like it has abandoned me.

Preach, brother. I have never felt less engaged with ODU hoops in my entire life...over 40 years, and I hate it. I try to be excited. I watch every game. I still have season tickets (prior to this year) and still plan to in the future. I still plan to go to every home game, but it really feels like an obligation or just part of my routine that I don't want to let go of at this point. I rarely get any excitement out of the time I commit to these endeavors, but I just don't want to give up. I imagine this is what its like to be in a marriage where you don't have much interest in each other anymore, but stick it out because its just easier to keep the status quo.

I am so sorry to say, but I am in the exact same boat. I will be a Monarch for life, but JJ has done me in. I just don’t care much anymore. Our men’s bb program sucks and is in shambles. May it RIP.
