RE: Odds that we see
Foley didn't have a winning season at UALR until year 4.
Where were the LR men picked to finish in Walker's 2nd year and where did they wind up?
Just sayin.

RE: Odds that we see
So far I’ve seen no indications of either transfer or quitting the season from Nowell’s personal pages on social media. However, he has been more quiet on his Twitter than he used to be. I wish a statement were released like when Andre Jones was dismissed but that issue was handled differently for a disciplinary reason and not necessarily for quitting. Also you never know if Nowell has actually left yet but the radio show seemed to indicate something.
Another player you guys may remember who left was Deondre Burns. While he did leave for ORU to follow Solomon Bozeman and Walker was his 3rd coach in 4 seasons, he still averaged 15.3 points per game as a starter there. I’ll let this one slide since we don’t know if Walker tried to encourage him to stay or not but just another player to remember.

I haven't seen anything either. His name has not appeared in the transfer portal and he is still listed on the team roster. The 2 girls that "opted out" on Foley were removed from the roster pretty quickly.
Foley always says the quickest way to a player's head is through their butt, meaning if they won't do what you tell them to do he sits their butts on the bench and that usually gets their attention. If it doesn't they find another school.
I know Eddie Sutton had a come to Jesus meeting with Walker when Walker played for him and he was almost kicked off the team.
Has Walker had that conversation with Nowell?
If he hasn't, I certainly would after he left the bench and went and sat in the stands.

Well it might be hard to compare Foley and Walker in this area since I think it’s harder to build a women’s program than a men’s program. Also a lot of the successful women’s programs in our conference have coaches that had to usually take 3-4 seasons to build them up to the top tier of the conference. Not to mention Foley inherited a program that hadn’t won more than 9 games since the 1980s! So he didn’t just have to build a new program, he had to create a whole new culture.
Also where were the LR men picked this season and where are we so far? Walker knew the expectation of this season was high. It’s on him to make sure those expectations are fulfilled. I’m fine if he gets one more season (which I think he will) but the seat is gonna be hotter if nothing changes this season.
