Probably not good for the "P6" mantra when your 2nd best team loses to a 3-7 SEC School in a bowl and then promptly gets involved in an ugly brawl that will be played on every National Media network possible...

Ball St taking it to SJSU 27-0 about four minutes before halftime.
Pretty ugly brawl after that Tulsa-MSU game. I think the talking heads are happy to have something to discuss.
Jomboy did a breakdown of it. If you've never seen his breakdowns, you're missing out.
I just discovered Jomboy, and my wife and I have spent some time working through some of his archives. It's good stuff. My wife will even watch the baseball videos, which says a lot about how good his work is.
I was happy to see he had this one up so quickly. (The CCU/Liberty bowl video is also pretty entertaining...)

Risk/reward is the answer.
Not only lower level bowls, but bowls that had 3 win teams in them, as well as a new head coach. Just end the season and let the new coach come in and start their jobs.
And after all of the wailing and posturing this year, the G5 teams walking away from bowl season with the biggest smiles on their faces are Liberty and Ball State. Well played, 2020.

What? There is no risk reward. Just the NEED to play with the TV/money that big. There is no decision at this level.
OSU has 16 guys out tonight, including starters. Not enough at any group, which would be the only thing to postpone. Not that I think they stand a chance against Clemson, but they’re gonna have to put there at a distinct disadvantage. There’s now risk/reward, just “have to play”.
This whole season has one big asterisk over it, for everyone. Nothing has been normal.

I don't know, I'd say UL is pretty happy... They may finish as the 2nd best G5 team in the polls.
The ACC should send the Sun Belt a thank you card and some of their CFP money for us basically taking the Big 12 out of any at-large contention for the NY6 and helping them get 3 of their own teams in the NY6 in spite of them just not being good and not winning a single bowl game.

Louisiana says hello. That Iowa St. win is looking better every day.
