Either a person is an alpha or they are not.

KW seems to prefer being second fiddle who can have huge games here and there, but shrinks when he is supposed to be the lead man carrying the team.

I actually saw things to be encouraged about. But Vogt and Ivanauskas have to play better.

That was gross. I would like to see Gabe Madsen get some time so they have a legit 3 point threat on the floor.

On a day when KW and Vogt hurt themselves will dumb fouls and rode the bench for a long portion of the game the rest of the team played pretty dang well. UT is favored to win the SEC. That is a good defensive UT team. Normally would upset with the FT spread, but at times there wasn't much else you can.

I did not get to see the game, but I have to think that when a young team goes in to Knoxville, plays poorly, gets their brains homered out, and still keeps it within 10, there is something to build on.

If you can't dribble a basketball without kneeing it out of bounds, or hit the side of the backboard on a 3, no amount of time is going to get you going. Sometimes I think this team might play better w/o keith because there's a 50% chance he turns it over or takes a really bad shot (like when he shoots a step back from the foul like with someone in his face and has it swatted)

Williams, Rap, and Vogt all had more TOs and fouls than points today. Thats not going to get it done...

In agreement here. Terrible play from Rap, Keith barely playing because of foul trouble, shooting 7 FTs to their 28 and we still kept it within 10 against a ranked team on the road.

Got a lot of good play out of our young guys, DDJ showed he can shoulder an offensive load if we need it, Davenport showed flashes of actually being able to shoot from outside along with Eason.

More than anything this is a frustrating loss because we managed to keep it close in spite of so many things not going our way.

Agree that we have to own some poor play today but the one-sided calls have exacerbated the loss. I mean I don't know that I've ever seen a FT stat line where one team makes 28 attempts to the other's 7. You almost have to do a double-take, rubbing your eyes a few times to make sure that's real.

27-7 FT stat sounds like an XU FT stat.
Some teams are schooled well at drawing contact to get to the line.

There are no officials assigned to conferences but this year in particular because they do not want officials to travel any more than necessary you probably have even more chance of the crew being from area/region the game is held so there is a high likelihood the officials for this game are from SEC country if not from TN.

Wow this is a blast from the past. I remember this stupid thread.

It is very on-brand to continue to misunderstand someone's point a whole year later, though.

So we lost our 2 marquee OOC games. What is the path to the tourney? Does splitting with houston/memphis/smu and only dropping like 2 other aac games get it done?
