I see where La Tech has released their full 56 game / 27 game CUSA schedule. I knew teams were playing one CUSA team twice but based off LT’s schedule it is 2 teams. And with just 27 CUSA games it makes for an unbalanced home/road split.
USM home/away
Rice home/away
MT away
FIU away
UTSA home
UAB home
Marshall home

I think that last series doesn't count toward the conference standings. Hard to get a OOC game that late, so several C-USA schools are playing each other in that slot.

That would make more sense. And now thinking back on it I feel like CUSA cut it back to 24 conference games (and 15 for softball teams) so with the "extra" series removed it would make an even 4 home and 4 road series. Thanks for the info.

I like our OOC slate...we host Illinois, Ole Miss, and Arkansas, play in-state rivals, and VERY good programs, LSU, Tulane and ULL, as well as 5 other in-state schools, all of whom are usually pretty good too.

And looking on line at their schedule the 2nd Rice series (last series of the season and in Ruston) now makes more sense as a non CUSA series as it's scheduled as just a 2 game series (Thursday and Friday)

It’s just a joke, guys. A little friendly banter. In all seriousness it’s going to be a beautiful facility and I’m looking forward to seeing it the next time Louisiana makes the trip up north.

Bulldog Stadium at FEMA Park has a really nice ring to it.
Natural disasters can happen anywhere. Best to keep your fingers off the keyboard and your mouth shut.
Frankly, I’d love for a tornado to take out the Cajun Field press box in the middle of the night. That upper deck of our is a dump and we too are financially strapped...it would be a perfect storm.

Definitely a huge and beautiful structure but is deserving of more than 1,000 permanent seats. Sorta like buying a huge bag of cornflakes and upon opening it find its a lot of fluff and air, only about a third full. I know there is SRO and berm space to acomodate more but bringing in a team like Arkansas will result in a lot of people not wanting to stand or sit on the ground.

It's best not to joke about something like that. I know you were just kidding but there was tremendous damage from that tornado. More than Tech athletic facilities were hit. People lost houses and businesses. Two people died, a mom and her son. One of her sons survived, high school age kid, he might be in college now. Imagine him reading this board and seeing you making light of the disaster. No you would not want a tornado to take out Cajun Field because it's going to take out a lot more than just a football stadium.
Looks like LTs opening series vs Illinois could be in jeopardy of being cancelled already. I'm not sure why the Big 10 would decide this so early.
