Ireland and Northern Ireland field different teams in most international sports. But in rugby there is one team representing both. Asked for an explanation, the Irish will reply, "Rugby is more important than politics."

Johnson proposed a law giving him power to change the Withdrawal agreement should a final trade deal not be reached in order to protect the UK

Naturally the global leaders, bureaucrats, and media are mad Johnson for being blunt about changing an agreement and not blindfully starving the people of Northern Ireland

Labor and Establishment Tories don't like common sense.
Globalists don't like reason. Hence the bias against teaching logic. BoJo just doing what any leader should, taking care of his people first.
This, JR is the most learned poster here. You should speak more to who and why.

What standing they have is that they've basically sought to eliminate national sovereignty.

Bonn was essentially trying to accomplish through trade what 2 world wars faired to yield, Ein Reich! Controlled by one government with monetary and banking authority in Deutschland.

THIS! The EU is Hitler’s dream without the ovens.

If you weaken NATO you need Russia because otherwise you are encouraging the rearming of Germany, a United Germany. Only this time it won't be tanks and bombers and Uboats. It will be technology, banking, spyware, and it will be integrated with an indomitable impulse to dominate those around them for their own good. Boris Johnson's election and Teresa May's failure were as needed as Chamberlain's fall from grace and Churchill's ascendency if Great Britain was to remain free. Now if our English relatives can take a lesson from France and remember a little bit of good ole xenophobia and deal with the Muslim issue they'll be part of the future of Europe and a true ally of the U.S., unless of course we fall into the lunacy of entitled whiners.

Don't get me wrong either. I love a strong Germany, but a contained Germany is best for Germans and everyone else. What a strong Germany and cooperation with Russia accomplishes is a check on all of Europe. The Russians keep watch on Germany, the Germans keep watch on Russia and the rest of Europe watches them both and nobody from the rest of Europe grows strong enough to tackle Russia and Germany, and they all want to keep great relations with the U.S. just in case and then the leverage rests with us. And when relations are good with Europe then China finds retaliation difficult to the extreme, especially since India still trades with Europe and the U.S. as does Japan and the Brits still have strong ties to Australia and New Zealand.

Now the U.S. needs to concentrate on a free and democratic Central and South America. A little bit of Manifest Destiny would be a good thing.

Argentina probably could have had the Falklands if they hadn't invaded.

The British will not let themselves be bullied on Northern Ireland.
For the British people *of 1982* (the year of the Falklands War) — or, of course, any earlier time — that is undoubtedly true.

And maybe it still is true for the British people of 2020. I hope it is. But I admit, I have my doubts.

We’ll soon find out.

One word answer-Brexit.

Hey, if we didn't need ovens to handle all of the bodies from the massive deaths of COVID 19 that are reported by the MSM everywhere, why should Germany need them?

I mean truly Kap, where are the ovens in New York and California? Oh wait give California a pass as they have their fires uncontained, but surely Cuomo was oppressed with the massive consequences of his decisions that he needed a few ovens?
