But the simple undeniable fact is there is nearly a ZERO percent chance anyone them will get sick or die, and virtually a ZERO percent chance they will infect someone who will get sick and die.
They are LITERALLY more likely to die in a car accident or 100 other things. Not only the players, but everyone they come in contract with. Which would be very few people if they kept them in a tight bubble for 10-14 days.
Its time we stop panicking over positive tests in healthy young people. Just keep them in a bubble and away from old or high risk people.
That is far too logical and obvious response though for it to actually happen in 2020.
Do you quarantine anyone who has come in contact with players during the game?
That is over 140 people.
What about the refs...The Linesmen...Stadium staff.
Come on, he said it was an undeniable FACT that there was NEARLY zero chance of any of them getting sick or dying from it. I guess it must alright then....
I’d very much like to see the research that states as a fact the chance of something is “nearly” zero.
We both know if I gave any you would simply arguing it into the ground and get highly offended, so there is really no point in posting it.
We will just have to agree to disagree and let each poster look into the facts for themselves.
If you don't want to talk about it, don't post about it. Don't post something, call it a fact, then run away when people challenge you on it.
And that's factoring in that many deaths listed as covid are bogus, and factoring in that the 18-25 age group is probably half that. Assume 1 out of every 20,000 of those that get it. If 10% get it, that's 1 out of every 200,000. Assume that 90% have a very serious underlying health issue like heart disease, cancer, lung and respiratory disease, hypertension, diabetes, etc.
So if you are between 18-25 years old with no serious underlying comorbidities; you have an approximately 1 in 2 million chance of contracting covid and dying from it.

Eh...We should have went ahead and let all the kids get infected this week. Then we wouldn't have to worry about this anymore this season. The kids could do whatever the hell they wanted to after that.
You know...Since there is 0 risk of any adverse affects from this thing and it would be so easy to isolate the infected.
You seem to be very skilled at taking a perfectly reasonable stance and perverting it to absurdity. Making something so extreme that it is a caricature of the original position, then fighting against this straw man that you have set up. So stunning and brave.
IF you disagree with macgar32, you are guaranteed to be right. As an example; this is the guy that claimed that Henderson was a good but not great back who didn't make plays, he just zig zagged around and ran by defenders.

COVID can cause long term and in some cases permanent damage to the lungs. Besides trying to play at this level with shortness of breath it could cause life long breathing issues.
This is not like the mumps where you intentionally expose all the kids so you can get it over with without any future issues.
There are some potential life long problems from catching this even if you're healthy and survive.

I wondered about that. If it could be a case of there being a party bus, and our players/personnel were exposed by contact tracing of some folks (not the players) that were participants on the bus. Have to watch who you hang with in all cases with this stuff.

What is reasonable about knowingly allowing kids who have tested positive for COVID to go out on the field and play a game and put everyone else on the field at risk...He said there is no issue with it because no one else would get sick.
So yeah I posted a sarcastic comment to make a parody of his position.

Sorry... I just thought that no one could be that dumb, and was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Guess I was wrong.
You are aware that the jury is still out on whether having COVID once prevents you from getting it again, right? And no one is sure how long it might last IF there is actual immunity?
What am I saying... You still think teams are forfeiting due to COVID.

WTH are you talking about...Eric was the one who said let the kids with COVID play. I assumed you made the connection that I was referring to his post...Not yours. Hence the reason I kept saying 'He\His' not 'You\Your'
And I said 1 time that we are lucky we had a bye week or we may have had to forfeit a game...Because we would have had to reschedule two weeks worth of games if we didn't...Difficult to do.
But hey keep attacking.

Butthurt? I'm laughing at you and giving the most ridiculous example I could think of so people can relate to how dumb your opinions are. You said he was a good, not great running back because he zig zagged around and ran faster than defenders. You said that. It is the gift that keeps on giving.
