Horrible. Their D looks good enough to win game, but QB is a big problem. I think they will switch again coming out of half.
Well they did lose 14 players to the NFL draft. 10 of them in the first 3 rounds.

Typically that means that the guys waiting in the wings are at least competent.

I'm not worried about the PAC. USC and Colorado have looked very unimpressive against a meh schedule thus far.

Are you saying that Clemson is 100% beating ND or that they're in either way.?
Yeah watching both clubs at full strength, Clemson is 2 scores better than ND. And I think ND is good. That game in South Bend was a culmination of luck.
I agree...do you think ND is in if they lose by 20+?

LSU might be like the Cam Newton Auburn team. They got a once-in-a-generation QB to transfer in and lucked out having some 4- and 5-star guys who lived up to their potential. But that doesn't mean they will be a perennial powerhouse like Alabama, Clemson, or OSU.

I'm not sure I've ever seen qb play this bad from a big time program.

Yeah really pathetic performance all around. Based off this game, no way aTm belongs in the cfp

Yes. ND is now locked in to the CFP.

Watched quite a bit of the Michigan State-Northwestern game. Thought I was watching the MAC game of the week. Not impressed at all with their skill players who look a notch below what you see from UC, Memphis, UCF and Houston. I think this is a sign of the job this staff is doing in taking guys who in the past would have wound up at one of these two schools or an Iowa, Illinois, Purdue, etc.

Yep, I thought Msu fans must be longing for some Dantonio offense at this point. LOL. Seriously, it has to help recruiting against Msu and M when you watch them offensively on tv. I can't imagine watching those offenses is inspiring. The interesting thing is with Msu the kind of money the ended up spending on Tucker is likely to keep him there for a while success or no success. This Covid and the legal issues and settlements can't bode well for getting them out of any coaching situation. Harbaugh, who knows. I wouldn't want to have to follow that situation. You would be a hero on day one, but after season one, it likely gets rough in Ann Arbor.
They'll probably do everything they can to avoid Osu this year. Clearly extra incentive, and that would be a win for them.

This is the exact comparison I had as I was reading this thread and was able to reply before I read your post. Don't forget Joe Brady who came from the Saints for a year before moving on to the Panthers. Last year was a perfect storm. Everyone loves Coach O but I think it's fair to say his programs have recruited great but aside from last year not won as much as they should based on talent. I wouldn't be surprised if he was chisik.
I think moving forward LSU will continue to be an NFL factory as always but be more Georgia like than a legit Alabama threat.

I'd think that Michigan would love it if they robbed OSU of a spot in the Big Ten title game by cancelling their game on 12/12.

Probably. Although I'm also guessing it would cost them financially if they didn't have a conference member in the playoffs to earn an allotment for each team in the conference. So how much is it worth to Michigan financially to spite Ohio St.?

UofM can't win the game on the field so maybe settling for ruining tOSU's season would be somewhat satisfying to them. Funny to think about.

So, a rematch with Memphis in the chip game is still possible but remote...

2020 exposed some of the P5 shell game.
For example, Tennessee is currently sitting at 2–5 with games still to play (lose) against Florida and Texas A&M. That 2-5 record wouldn’t look nearly as bad, and their computer numbers would be greatly inflated had they gotten their 3 annual body bag games against Charlotte, Furman, and Troy that were cancelled due to Covid.
If Michigan still had Arkansas State and Ball state on the schedule, 2-4 right now wouldn’t look so bad and their computer numbers would be helping conference mates.
Those annual buy games not only fund small/broke programs, but they help to prop up entire P5 conferences by inflating records and computer rankings.
