That was true in all the suburbs back when I was a teen.

Ive been pulled over 3 times in Bartlett once for having a taillight out, and other two were being over the speed limit... both at 4 mph over, yes f.o.u.r.

He did not misword. He heavily embellished his actions to garner positive media attention. His player called him out, as he should have.

Mike is good guy and class act. Accordingly, he owned his mistake and apologized. His response was very well worded and because of that this story will die off today and nobody will care any longer.

My favorite was Germantown cops pulling you over if you had your hat on backwards.

The signature move is to use tinted windows as an excuse to doing an entire search on the car and occupants.

Man, what planet are you from? I've been pulled over in Bartlett for my tag light being out, and sometimes just for being out at the wrong time. I'm as white as I can be and I don't drive jalopies. My kids are white as white gets and so have they. My youngest got rousted for walking down the street about 10:00 pm. The cops said they should be on the sidewalk. They made them empty their pockets and everything. No warrant, no nothing. I have lots of white friends that have been pulled over in Bartlett for the same crap. Bartlett has nazis for cops, which is part of the reason I no longer live in the Bartlett city limits.

I lived in Bartlett for 10 years and got pulled over 4 times. Not once for speeding, or weaving, or anything much really. Once for a tag light, once for a headlight, and the others just because it was late(??) I guess. Three of those were maybe a hundred yards from my house. Not a huge number I'll admit but it does destroy the narrative that only black people get pulled over in Bartlett.

I don't know man. I haven't been pulled over but I have some African friends whose kids are homeschooled and live in Bartlett. The older boy was driving with his 15 year old sister. They got pulled over in their neighborhood and the cop yelled at them and wanted to know why they weren't in school. He didn't believe that they were homeschooled. The girl is one of my daughters best friends and it made the girl cry. Finally when they verified their address they let them go...without any kind of apology. My son and daughter are about the same age and have never been pulled over even though they have ridden together many times.
