NBA TV audiences are much larger than NHL audiences. If anyone should move their season to avoid competition, it's the NHL.

National. I’m talking local. You’ll see when you check the RSN ratings for the above teams. Most in that grouping draw more than the NBA team.

The Celtics have larger local TV audiences than the Bruins. The 76ers also have larger local audiences than the Flyers, now that the Sixers don't suck anymore. The Bulls' local TV ratings are low because the team is bad. Maybe check the local TV ratings there when Jordan played for the Bulls.

Anyway, obviously the 30 NBA owners can do what they want, but I'm pretty sure they're going to try and figure out what NBA fans want rather than trying to help college basketball or the NHL. And though the internet isn't the best measure of anything, such as it is, I haven't seen anyone whose favorite sport is the NBA argue that the NBA should permanently move the Finals to July or August.

It is only two days that are on-line. So while technically that is hybrid, I don't think any students will care.

Two days classes and any and all exams online are the minimum locked in place, in the U of SC calendar. How many it will end up being depends on circumstances as yet unknown.

But different Universities will vary. Unless they've shifted their semester start date, Notre Dame has a week and a half after Thanksgiving, then half a week of "reading days" then final exams. OTOH, they are less likely to have shutdowns due to their state being in crisis in August/September.

Mostly agree except the Sixers outdrawing the Flyers right now isn't the norm historically (A Flyers' Playoff game even doubled a Sixers' Playoff game and Phillies game combined). It's like how the Rangers are outdrawing the Knicks but I'm not including them because it's an outlier.

Saw University of Indiana will be off campus from Nov 22 thru Feb 8 I think....Basketball next year will be really different even if fans are allowed....

School I’m affiliated with (community college) announced on May 14 fall will be online. Departments like culinary arts are screwed.

Colorado also announced this week that they will be going with the idea of not having students return to campus after Thanksgiving break.

Lots of campuses will be ghost towns from Thanksgiving week until mid-January.
