What are some old school traditions you would like to see return?

I posted on Twitter that I’d like to see the Bearcat carpet return for basketball introductions.

For those unaware of this...here's a video, and I hope I didn't just out a poster by posting this because timing is just too odd

It’s crazy to see a game you were at and think, “That’s old......oh, no.....I’m old.”

Here's a good one: winning basketball national championships again. Actually, I think our fanbase would be totally energized by an Elite Eight about now.

I love the new look 5th/3rd but nothing says tradition like plenty of meaningful banners in the rafters and we have some of the best: national titles, Final Fours, NCAA appearances, conference championships, all-American players. Anyone who steps into our arena, or catches a glimpse on national TV should quickly realize UC is historically elite. For the ESPN commentators and visiting fans, as Bonnie Raitt sang, "let's give them something to talk about".

How about they give out helium balloons again so students can tie them to beer glasses and float them over the court.

Also, bring back the Louisville $ucks cheer.

The Shoot for Loot: a fan has to make a layup, FT, 3 pointer, and half court shot within 30 seconds.

Free Subway when we get 100 pts. That was so fun when we would be some where in the mid to upper 90s with only a couple minutes left. Everyone chanting Suuubwaayyy. With CJB and a couple shooters it could actually happen again!

I still do that cheer every time I hear the song. Even if I’m not at a Bearcats game.

Am I imagining things, or did Joe Zerhusen used to be the PA announcer at UC games?

Yes, he was for several years as I recall.
