Traditions that should return - BearcatnKY - 03-25-2020 01:05 PM What are some old school traditions you would like to see return? I posted on Twitter that I’d like to see the Bearcat carpet return for basketball introductions. RE: Traditions that should return - BearcatMan - 03-25-2020 01:15 PM For those unaware of this...here's a video, and I hope I didn't just out a poster by posting this because timing is just too odd RE: Traditions that should return - BearcatnKY - 03-25-2020 01:17 PM (03-25-2020 01:15 PM)BearcatMan Wrote: For those unaware of this...here's a video, and I hope I didn't just out a poster by posting this because timing is just too odd You caught me. RE: Traditions that should return - Dannyboy - 03-25-2020 01:24 PM It’s crazy to see a game you were at and think, “That’s old......oh, no.....I’m old.” RE: Traditions that should return - OKIcat - 03-25-2020 02:02 PM Here's a good one: winning basketball national championships again. Actually, I think our fanbase would be totally energized by an Elite Eight about now. I love the new look 5th/3rd but nothing says tradition like plenty of meaningful banners in the rafters and we have some of the best: national titles, Final Fours, NCAA appearances, conference championships, all-American players. Anyone who steps into our arena, or catches a glimpse on national TV should quickly realize UC is historically elite. For the ESPN commentators and visiting fans, as Bonnie Raitt sang, "let's give them something to talk about". RE: Traditions that should return - Bruce Monnin - 03-25-2020 03:24 PM How about they give out helium balloons again so students can tie them to beer glasses and float them over the court. Also, bring back the Louisville $ucks cheer. RE: Traditions that should return - levydl - 03-25-2020 08:42 PM The Shoot for Loot: a fan has to make a layup, FT, 3 pointer, and half court shot within 30 seconds. RE: Traditions that should return - Teakwood - 03-26-2020 06:59 AM Free Subway when we get 100 pts. That was so fun when we would be some where in the mid to upper 90s with only a couple minutes left. Everyone chanting Suuubwaayyy. With CJB and a couple shooters it could actually happen again! With Mickey it should have been 80. I still do that cheer every time I hear the song. Even if I’m not at a Bearcats game. RE: Traditions that should return - Bear Catlett - 03-26-2020 08:51 AM Am I imagining things, or did Joe Zerhusen used to be the PA announcer at UC games? Yes, he was for several years as I recall. OK! Bring him back! Screw the Reds. We had him first. |
