Oklahoma is listed as a stay at home state. The majority of deaths are in Norman, OKC and Tulsa with positive cases in those 3 counties and surrounded counties.

The only states not to have be put on virtual lockdown are pretty much all red states run by Republican governors.

Idaho, Arizona and Oklahoma are ones that have lockdown in place or stay in place because they are neighbors to states that have major outbreaks. I can put Arkansas as well since the outbreak is in the Little Rock area.

We seem to be doing fine in Alabama. it’s hard to know if the deaths are a result from coronavirus or folks are dying from other serious conditions like they likely would have done prior to this outbreak anyways. total deaths reported relative to the virus are 9, I think.

UAB had 62 in-house patients(30 on ventilators) a few days ago, dropped to 55. Now nothing been reported in 2 days relative to that. Guessing because it’s positive news, if folks are recovering. We don’t report positive news anymore.

According to this CNN story, at least 35 states have a complete or partial stay at home order in effect as of tonight - which covers more than 2/3 of the country's population. 27 states are on complete lockdown (except for essential businesses). Many others are like Texas, which doesn't have a full state order but the biggest cities all have them in effect, and as a state, the governor has ordered social gatherings capped at 10 or fewer in the counties where the stay-at-home orders aren't in place, plus there are plenty of other restrictions in place.

The states according to this link that have no order yet of any kind are North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Maine, Iowa, Arkansas, Utah, Mississippi, South Carolina, Alabama, Arizona and Tennessee and Pennsylvania (actually those last two aren't mentioned in the CNN link, but I'm pretty sure their biggest cities/counties are non-essential folks are supposed to stay at home). And I'm guessing the ones that don't have any official order may have individual cities/counties included, but they're just mentioned in this story.

Don't shoot me if the list is wrong.

Arkansas have a partial lockdown because a lot of the businesses are closed since they are not essential. The reason is Little Rock is exploding with cases, and they need people to stay put so that the viruses don't get spread from residents of the Little Rock area from traveling to other parts of the states that have no to under 5 cases.

So good news for you. You don't have to feel bad about not going to work for the first time in your life.

I would tend to agree.. However living in PA the governor here is a Democrat.. I will applaud his efforts..

He issued last week stay at home orders for the counties hit hardest, and re-adjusted them this weekend. He's not pushing for anything.

There are those defying his orders.. A casino in Philly, hard hit area, is refusing to shut down construction. Several gyms are defying him. A mayor in another town refused to shut down his town.

The people here were still having block parties, cook outs, etc... So the stay at home order gives law enforcement the authority to see a block party, birthday party, gathering of more than 10 people and break it up. If they suspect you're out visiting friends and family they can issue a citation. Some of that is a little extreme but when common sense is thrown out the window because you're off work and don't want to sit at home and wanna hang out, desperate times call for desperate measures.

Quote:Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has put the state under a stay-at-home directive for the state as coronavirus cases surpass 1,400.

The stay-at-home order will go into effect at 8 p.m. Monday, the governor said. Violations can be punished with a misdemeanor.

People should only leave their homes for absolutely essential reasons like buying food or seeking medical care.

We're marked!

Just saw where Texas required a 14 day quarantine for anyone coming from a list of about 10 states and cities. Atlanta is one of those cities. So can't visit relatives.

Bang. The list is wrong. Alabama went on full stay at home this past weekend. In TN, Nashville and Memphis are shut down, at least.

Florida got named that any visitors coming from Florida to Vermont have to go into quarantine for 14 days. Florida is becoming a new frontline with more cases than Louisiana. Just need time were the death rate in Florida to catch up to New York.

Gov. Lee expected to announce all non-essential businesses in TN closed. Schools were already closed until May, but I doubt they re-open this year.
