The only “facts” about the virus’ origin is that it was not made in a lab. That was done by decoding the genome sequence.

As I have said all along this whole corona thing was about 2 things 1) transforming this country into something different aka socialism and 2) the 2020 election. Increasing isn't bad as long as it doesn't put a load on the health care system. Since there is no vaccine, getting sick and then getting better is the only way out.

The thought is there are a lot of asymptomatic cases that may never develop into a full blown nasty illness. We don't really know how many of those there are because we aren't testing people who aren't visibly sick.

We are really in trouble in this state if JB hangs onto the treatment/vaccine as the only way out scenario.

The most dire predictions didn't happen, but most of them were not based on everyone socially distancing and staying at home. You had the predictions of 100K - 240K even with shelter in place - but we're already over 80K, so the odds are good we'll still end up in that range. NYC would have been in a world of hurt if they went about with business as usual. As it is, they very nearly overextended the health system - and did overextend the health system as it had been, before they expanded in response to the virus.

I haven't seen the daily case and death numbers for Illinois - wish I knew what he was looking at. The Worldometer site has it for some states but not Illinois. I look at the numbers daily though, and they're still very erratic but maybe at a plateau.
