A little post Morten here

The team, unlike a lot of fans, has not quit

They play really hard, but too carelessly at times and it hurts

Who knows, but with Wiseman this was a really good team, he is long gone
With DJ this is a good team, he is gone
Without them this is a middle AAC team. It is what it is. A few rough whistles in both the last two games but that happens. It sucks but it happens. The USF calamity, while missing DJ AND Dandridge and the late collapse with SMU arguably the biggest movers.

Free throws matter, the hidden big play was Boogie missing two, which opened the door for CT to get a small working lead late. They only missed two all game, credit them. We win if they miss several more

We will see if the recognition of being middle of the pack is enough to understand you must play even harder and continue to work on ending the mistakes, which we hoped would have occurred but it has not. The block charge calls hurt Memphis again today

I suspect our awful entitled fan base will not show up for the next home game, sending the message to the kids and recruits that growing pains are not acceptable and if you struggle we say F you. The idea it sends a message that we demand excellence only is a pipe dream.

Disappointed as hell being 17-8. Would we be 19-6 or 20-5 with DJ? Dunno. But after the next home game I know I would rather be 18-8 setting up for Houston.

Done with seeing the nastiness here. Will be at the game form ECU but will scan after the game

Good effort, bad result. Wish things had been differently. We were patient when the 2002 team made the NIT, patient when the 2005 team made the NIT. Patient when Joe Jackson’s first team struggled more than we would have liked. All of those were followed by some better success, even if not as much success as we hoped. This feels that way

You are correct.

Precious is hustling like a mofo on every possession...he just needs to make a pass when he's triple-teamed. I know he feels like he has to carry the load, but he seems to be pressing a bit too much at times on the offensive end.

He needs to give the ball to the guards and quit trying to bring the ball up the court.

We missed too many free throws

We allowed too many 2nd chance points

We committed too many turnovers

Ball game!

There's nothing we do, as a team, that isn't correctable -- if everyone stayed for two or three more years -- and the coaching staff learned how to correct it.

Fans will show up. Fans kept showing up even for Pastner’s mediocre seasons until his last. This program is what is is cuz of the fans. You better get your arse to the next home game.

Not Precious fault his pg is limiting his game. Alo shouldn't be on the floor if he's a hindrance and is feeding into the opposition's game plan.

The pgs can't feed the post. Precious will get limited looks waiting on them. He must force the action when he has a chance.... scouts are watching and don't wanna hear Alo and Tyler didn't pass me the ball inside and missed me on easy looks.....

I said this before the season that if Alo was to get major minutes this team is in trouble and here we are...

Well, you aint wrong. Penyy has chosen to live and die by Tyler and ALo and it's bitten him on the ass.

Offensive sets? I don't see them either, but just a few times a game after a TO. Most of the game it's just jack a 3 or take your man and a few others to the basket. 1 on 1, 1 on 2, and even 1 on 3. Very few assists. This late in the season we should be better than that now. I'm a Penny fan, but he needs help. He is not getting it done.

This. Lomax will be the demise of Penny. Lomax provides nothing on offense he is essentially Andre Allen out there.

I said it after the Cincy game. When Lomax is in the game the offense immediately goes to crap because the ball will stick in his hands.

Andre Allen would start every game on this team, and deserve it.

And stop puttin it on the floor in the lane. Learn how to post up and if your guards aren't feeding you then the coach should put them all the way at the end of the pine.

I'd take Andre in a heart beat.

It's just so hard to fathom that a season that began with such hope and promise has reached the depth we find it in now. It's just a gut punch that is hard to take.
