1) the tickets just went on sale...theyll go cheaper as time goes on...especially in the second market

2) they have $167 alll tourney pass tickets.. i just googled

3) Why not try a day pass when they go on sale, might be way cheaper

Let’s just let the regular season champ host the basketball tournament that would give everyone a fair chance to host and keep the attendance high.

Did someone from ECU really just say that?

You’ll get them on the secondary markets or in the nearest hotel lobby day of game for cowpies.

I think there will be a lot of WSU fans there. Depends on the rest of the season. I'll be there.

1). Yes, but I was thinking they would set a price point lower to attract more local fans.
2). The arena website has the cheapest at $224.
3). Depending on the price, I may. But still, think they way overpriced.

RE: I guess I missed that the AAC Tourney in Ft. Worth?
I guess I’m in the minority but ft Worth seems like a good place to have it, in a rotation. Smu, Tulsa, Houston, Wichita state, Tulane, and Memphis all within a days drive or a cheap flight into dfw, and for the eastern schools getting a flight to dfw is easier than almost anywhere else.

Honestly making it the permanent spot wouldn’t be that bad either. I couldn’t really think of a better place other than Memphis, which everyone would oppose because they actually have a fan base and would make it such a disadvantage for other teams

Worth is neutral, in a metro with alumni from most schools, a new areana, 7m or so people to get some casuals from, an easy drive for; Wichita, Tulsa, SMU, Houston, drivable for Memphis and Tulane, an easy cheap flight from just about everywhere else (Sorry ECU).

It will be the highest attended tournament we have had in total numbers and average. It is unlikely it will move and should be a fun atmosphere.

Not too bad for ECU fans who want to travel. Only about 1.5 hrs from Greenville to RDU, and most of the fan base is even closer. You can book a non-stop roundtrip flight for the tournament dates for $300. Or a lot less if you can do some weird layovers.

I just meant not as super convient. Although actually that isn't bad at all. prices from orlando or tampa might be a little cheaper but not bad at all. Even the hour to hour and a half drive isn't bad considering what traffic around certain AAC metropolitan areas can be.

Playing the tourney in a home city is mid-major. It needs to be a neutral site. Let's see how Ft. Worth works out.

St. Louis is a good idea. Louisville? Nashville?

As a fan of a team that will never EVER be in a position to host based on merit, I still like the idea of the home team hosting. 1) it sounds like it's always made more money, which we could use. 2) It's ultimately in the best interest for the regular season champ to win the tournament and get the highest seed possible, so I'm fine with a home field advantage. They do it in the NFL playoffs.

All that said, I get the DFW pick. Most accessible airports in the US, in order, are ATL (no AAC team), LAX (riiight), ORD (no AAC teams and freezing), DFW (SMU in Dallas, plus driveable from Houston/Tulsa/Wichita, borlderline driveable from Memphis/New Orleans), then DEN/JFK/SFO/LAS.

Everyone except ECU can get a cheap, direct flight to DFW (and ECU fans in Greenville can catch one from Raleigh).
