Tulsa doesnt have much of a chance. Our net dropped almost 20 points which is weird considering it barely moved up after we beat UCONN at their place.

If Tulsa wins the league I don’t see them getting left out.

Beating UCONN is no longer a big deal. 03-lmfao

Exactly. Finishing first in the American will get Tulsa in.

Such a weird basketball season this year. Currently, UH is solid at #1, which is not so weird other than it's a team that lost 4 starters from last year's Sweet 16 team.

But, the next "top" 4 teams in the AAC are on a losing streak; and, the next "bottom" 5 teams are on a winning streak with USF leading the conference at 3 games winning. USF for crissakes!

Can't believe that Cincy found a way to beat UH and then loses to UConn. 01-wingedeagle

Home v road matters. Kenpom had UC favored (I believe by 2) against Houston and a 1 point underdog at uconn.

This may be the most unpredictable number and field of potential NCAA teams from the AAC since its inception.

Cincy has mounted an impressive comeback, despite the 1 point loss @ UConn, and has a real shot at a NCAA bid.

Can anyone explain why Wichita is only 5-5 at this point, after a great start in OOC games?

It looks like the AAC might send anywhere between 2 and 4 teams to the NCAA tournament, although the seeds of AAC teams might range between #6 and #11.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

from: http://bracketmatrix.com/

Houston #7 seed

Wichita #9 seed

Memphis #11 seed

Cincy First Four Out

Tulsa Next Four Out

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's possible, too, that the AAC might send as many teams to the NIT as to the NCAA. It'll be interesting to see how the AAC teams perform in the NIT.

In the conference yes, but nationally I think it's got to be North Carolina.

Kenpom even predicted that UConn would clobber Cumberland as he tried to get off a game winning shot.

I thought the foul occurred with .2 or .1 left (at least the initial contact) from pausing and checking some pictures The ref didn't seem like he was willing to call a foul. Doesn't matter. I'm not outraged over a foul that seemed up occur at best in the last. 2 seconds. Especially considering Cumberland isn't getting the shot off if there is no foul anyways.

Thank you for being a rational fan, lol.

Gonna miss the yearly games against Cincy. Hope we can schedule a nice 2 or 4 game series in the near future 04-cheers

I think part of the reason the ref swallowed the whistle (besides the fact it was so close to the clock expiring, if not after the buzzer) is it looked like Cumberland leaned into the defender a bit to draw some contact. If he were driving to the hoop maybe he gets the call, but when you're pump faking a guy and leaning in a bit it doesn't really look like you're making a basketball move as much as just trying to draw contact. Tough to end a game on a call like that, regardless of which way it goes

Ncsu, Ole Miss, and Tennessee all with big wins tonight. Has to be big for Memphis and the rest of the league.
