He would most likely like to go back to NC. State. Before UAB, where he Started. Their was a poster that mentioned Mountain Brooks Coach that would be a great Idea, That would bring in the Support of the Area.
Or move Coach Norton over from the Womens team to the Men's Team he should be familiar with recruiting by know. Could be the first to do it.
What the **** is this ****?
This is you quoting...and leading those of us who “ignore” him to read his ramblings, and blame you

Average attendance has fallen below 3,000. A large majority of the UAB fan base has written off our storied men's basketball program. That's really all the reason UAB needs to make a change.
Avg. attendance last 10 seasons:
2010-11 5167 Reg Season Champs, NCAA
2011-12 4564 Mike Davis fired/Haase hired
2012-13 4118
2013-14 4304
2014-15 3258 CUSA tourney champs, NCAA
2015-16 4946 Reg Season Champs, NIT Ehsan hired
2016-17 4134
2017-18 3729
2018-19 3037
2019-20 2734
Damn, look at that 2014-15 season.
Also notice the bounce back the following season. ONE NCAA win and attendance increased over 50%. There was no follow through and so we've given back that surge and then some.
Just like Coach Bartow set the standard for retiring jerseys, he also set the standard of success for UAB basketball. Every year we're not in the NCAA or NIT is a bad season.
Instead of lowering standards and expectations, lets rise to meet them.
Making the dance brings in approx 700-800 people the next season, on average. Making the NIT brings in half of that. Making either one bumps up attendance the next year.

The crowds have looked on average nowhere near 3000 since Davis left.

RE: Why was Andy Kennedy fired for one bad season?
UAB athletics needs to find a way to sell itself to the local citizens of B'ham and those who live in the metro area. When I taught in the city, I found that most of the kids (and their parents) attached themselves to pro sports - NFL and NBA - rather than collegiate sports. The metro area fans tend to favor the P5 teams of Alabama and Auburn with some "left overs" for the rest of the schools. This represents a major challenge for the "others" around the state. One complication is that so many in the area work minimum wage ($2.65 to $7.50 per hour) jobs (often two or three part time jobs as well) which leaves them little time or financial resources to spend on sports. This is not just a problem for UAB, but for other urban G5 and lesser P5 schools around the nation.
