I know you mean well but these programs bellow are pretty freaking legit strong too...

NAVY (impressive History )
UCF (Not much history but not one to be taken lightly anymore)
TEMPLE (rich basketball history... football finally clicking hear us roar)
SMU (history in a big boy conference)

AAC has impressive well known solid programs and why is referred to as a P6

Agreed - definitely legit teams for the P6. But, with all due respect, the P6 doesn’t exist. There are currently only the P5/G5. Memphis, Houston, and Cincy are the gems of the AAC - and it’s only a matter of time before they move up to a P5 conference.

We just went to 3 NY6 bowls in 7 years...lol. averaging over 40k with a budget expected to top $70 million next year. p6 definitely exists because we say it exists. The media made up the p5 and we are adding ourselves to that list. I'm glad the AAC isn't rolling over for it.

Sorry - doesn’t work that way. Actually, nothing in life works that way. It doesn’t exist just b/c you say it exists. But you better believe Memphis, Houston, and Cincy will take a P5 invite - which they have earned. And it’s in the mail...only a matter of time.

I'm sorry, you're just wrong. They are not expanding. They will all stay exactly as they are, because money. ESPN, and money. ESPN already owns all of those teams you just mentioned, @ $7MM per. They're (ESPN) not interested in paying any of them 5 times that amount "just because". Our only hope of BigXII bids was for Aresco and co. to sign with FOX or NBCsports. That didn't happen.

RE: AAC vs G4
I kind of agree that expansion talk may be just that, talk. All P5 conferences seem to be in good shape and happy with the possible exception of the PAC. Obviously, the AAC needs one team and the PAC might need to go into Central Time Zone for their network subscriptions, say Houston and SMU or something. My bet is little changes. And the AAC continues to be the tweeter conference, i.e. "P6".
