RE: Wiseman gone... For good..
Memphis has made their way into the top 15 without Wiseman, and is likely to be a top 20 team the rest of the way.

If Quinones' hand recovers fully, the Tigers could compete for a high NCAA seed, and the team should improve as their younger players continue to develop.

I enjoyed SMU basketball a lot more when Brown was there.

I’ve been relatively cool with Memphis fans lately, mainly cuz we’re in the rah rah non-con part of the year.

But I feel ok in saying to all of the crap that’s been posted here for months, that karma works in mysterious ways

Anyone who thinks Memphis is a final 4 contender without Wiseman is delusional. Our big rotation beyond Precious is almost certainly bottom 5 among the top 50 or so teams and our shooting has been suspect at best. Penny's entire system (P&R reads) depended on having an elite athlete down low.

Devastating blow - Wichita St is now the clear favorite in the conference and our conference overall will need luck to get even 3 bids.

This whole series of events should get even more NCAA scrutiny and sanctions. Was it worth the money, Penny?

Some have, but from people I know (including one from ECU) it’s not that good of an experience. It’s a long way from home, facilities can suck real bad, and language barriers exist. That’s why you have a bunch of European players trying to get to the NCAA as well.

But name one team this season that is clearly a Final Four contender. We are still in the hunt as much as any other team without Wiseman.

He's worth $60+ Million with an ongoing Nike shoe deal. He isn't working for money. He's working for his Home city of Memphis and his late bro Dezz Merriweather.

They're disgusted with the whole series of events. Also if this is truly Karma as you say, what will your Karma punishment be then?

No we aren't. Our most reliable guards are sub 6' backups and our best big is still in the process of learning how to actually play basketball. Unless DJ and/or Lester become 1 and dones, our ceiling is round of 32

We are what we are. #6 KY just lost to Utah yesterday. Pooh-Pooh happens. I'm thrilled we're back in the Big Dance after being irrelevant for several years.

They get paid over $100k by shoe companies and build their name in college.

Ironic coming from a fan of a team who employs a cheater for a coach. Apparently nothing will compel top prospects to go to Tulsa.

Funny, since Memphis is the poster child for ‘cheating’. Calipari, Pastner and now Penny. All dirty.

For real.. the only way Tulsa is going to be competitive is if the entire Memphis starting lineup goes pro before 2nd semester.
