You wait. Temple won't make the tourney, but they'll knock someone off late in the conference season that would have otherwise.

I guess you won't have to worry about being that team.

Probably not. We'll still have 4 more NCAA tournament appearances representing the AAC than Temple though.

You must be losing that Cinci swagger. You forgot to mention your Oscar Robertson final four appearances.

Holy MOLY! I said it in the earlier football and basketball threads that errbody were going to keep picking everybody but Memphis in the weekly rankings. Yet it appears that outside of Memphis ( Wichita State basketball) the AAC is crapping the bed.03-hissyfit03-hissyfit03-banghead

I had such high expectations for the AAC this year. It’s by no means over, but we have had some bad losses. This isn’t a dig at any one team and I wish the AAC the best.

So true and so obvious to everyone, but HC McKie. Hopefully, he’ll learn from Perry shooting 4-6 on three’s, Alani 4-7 on three’s, and Scott 2-5 on three’s last night, that they should be taking Temple’s most shots. Rose and Nate combined 1-10 on three’s, and 8-24 on Fga’s.

Rose taking Temple’s most shots. Shooting but 42 percent on two’s, and 24 percent on three’s. Such has caused Temple three losses that didn’t need to be. Rose and Nate dreadful in Maryland and Missouri losses.

Best shooters need to shoot more, and Rose and Nate, Temple’s worse shooters less. This foolishness and favoritism has to stop.

Temple’s pressure defense that caused many turnovers and Temple wins
Not employed last night. Resulted in Temple committing more turnovers than Miami.

No need to change power rankings if McKie takes some decisive steps to fix the obvious problem. Could see this coming from a mile away. Just wish he had, and makes necessary changes so Temple can be successful in conference play. The talent is there.

There is actually only a handful of "bad" losses ... but there is a huge collection of missed opportunities .... we are going to end up with a bunch of teams on the wrong side of the bubble.

Oh don't worry. Once we get into conference play everybody that is playing like crap in their out of conference games will suddenly start playing like NBA allstars, especially against Memphis and Wichita. Seen this in CUSA. 07-coffee307-coffee3

Temple should be 10-0 right now, not 7-3. Rose and Nate should realize that if they shoot less, Temple will both win games, and their stats will be better. They don’t get that.

Rose should concentrate more on rebounding, and less on scoring. Did that in St.Joe’s game. How quickly he forgot that.

Both Nate and Rose should be put in the position to steal the ball more often. That didn’t happen last night.

Scott and Perry should be put in a position so they could score a lot of points. They haven’t been. They have shown their potential. As Perry scored 18-points in only 22 minutes. Scott Scott scored 10-points.only 19 minutes.

Perry is shooting a whopping 48.1 percent on three’s for the season, Scott is shooting 45 percent on three’s over the last 5 games, on 9-20 three-point shooting.both should be playing more.

As always, very insightful.

Sure most AAC do not lose games because their crappiest shooters took the most shots. That’s Temple’s recipe’.

He must hang out with DefBearcat. He said that losing 42-0 to Ohio State shouldn't count because they're real good.

Ehh.. my observations in the few games ive seen Temple have been a bit different. Biggest thing I saw was a team that is shockingly weak on athletcism. They seemed about equal athletically with a very non-athletic Miami team.

Mediocre athleticsm + mediocre shooting means that team is going to struggle no matter what they do. I don't know how temple can run a pressure D (full or half court) against teams that are so much better than them athletically (incl. Memphis, Wichita St, UConn and Cinci). On top of that they dont have a shooting advantage either.

I would be surprised of Temple finished higher than 4th in the conference without some major injuries taking down other teams
