When and early 20's kid out of college has a monthly bill that is bigger than a mortgage, and they are making entry level pay, they are not contributing to GDP or any other National Financial Health measurement of any kind for a long time - if ever.
These colleges are as much to blame for price gouging as hospitals are for health care price gouging.....
Maybe I'm old and don't understand, but the college loan and debt crisis seems foreign to me. I took out my last loan for undergrad in 2002. Paid for 2 years of grad school out of pocket in 2003 and 2004. My first payment was due when I was no longer a full time student, including grad school. I left school with a little under $32k in debt and my monthly payment has never been more than $160. What am I missing? Its the cheapest money I've ever borrowed.
It was a "small problem" that was basically was exacerbated by Obama. He enabled young kids to freely borrow a sh*tton of money for "college", and in turn that drove up the price of college. He basically performed a fake "trickle up" policy where he created "demand" by allowing anyone to be a part of that demand. This, in turn, led to colleges increasing their tuition, which led to students paying $100K-$200K for college for degrees in which there was no demand or that the average pay wouldnt come close to paying off their student loan debt. Also, that access to student loans allowed students to make horrific decisions on where they went to college (they could pretty much buy their way into any out of state college), instead of practical schools they could afford to attend.
In short, when you allow a young person easy access to money in which they can make poor decisions, many of them will make poor decisions. But Obama's friends in the universities made bank.

Some decent zingers to everyone not named Kamala Harris in that monologue.
As I said earlier, a lot of moderates and independents like Biden. There's a limit to how much race-baiting she should do on him.
I also find it interesting how much ageism is on display here. Doesn't seem very SJW-like when people are taking potshots at older candidates and insinuating that they won't do their jobs effectively because of age.

SJW war on elderly... so it begins!!!!
Next thing you know they will be sticking death panels in their universal healthcare as soon as they figure out it's cheaper to kill old people rather than provide them medical care.

Is late night comedy part of the media?
Sadly, it is. Late night TV hosts on the big networks (who are all owned and consist of the liberal elite Hollywood groupthink) have degenerated into political activism/propaganda and it's trying to disguise itself as "comedy".

Because "affordable" means NOTHING to a bunch of kids barely out of HS. But "FREE"...that stands out! Free healthcare, free tuition, free UBI, free this, free that...the candidates know these ideas are absolutely ridiculous wouldn't ever work BUT they know it'll attract the votes they desperately need. They are simply preying on the idiots of society.

So why aren’t republicans calling their stupidity out? Because they are too preoccupied with abortions and illegal aliens?

Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg winners. I will predict that Buttigieg will be the President in his lifetime, he is simply too young this time around, but he was very impressive last night

If Republicans were shouting nonsense like free healthcare, free college, free income, do away w/ the electoral college, lower the voting age, open the borders, abolish ice, guns are bad...then you bet your ass they'd be calling their stupidity out. The thing is...the amount of stupidity on the right pales in comparison to the amount on the left. This is objectively obvious. This is why MORE AND MORE centrists/moderates are being pushed to the right every day. Ever heard of the overton window?

Well (and you know this)....................there will literally be millions of people that go and vote for the name with the "D" next to it on the ballot.........won't have a clue what their positions are except maybe 1 issue........Sheeple. And I'm not saying there aren't plenty of those on the "R" side either.
Face it. Generally speaking, the American electorate is mostly an ignorant group. The folks that frequent this site are far, far more educated on politics than the average Joe walking the streets.
Oh yeah - there's the allure of "free" stuff......

Here's the deal...the left NOR the right determines who wins the election. The centrist/moderates are the ones who effect where the pendulum swings. And since about year 2 of Obama that pendulum has been slowly swinging farther and farther right thanks to things like Obamacare and the numerous insane ideas thrown around by those on the left...what I'm saying is, the left has gone soooooooooooooooo far to the left, what once was considered the center is now on the right, and that's why more and more centrist/moderates are voting Republican. Again, there's a term called the overton window. Look it up.
