I tried to watch these "debates", really I did. I told myself it was prudent to keep informed on what the other side's current perspective is. Same thing happened both nights. At first I laughed, then I cried. How could any group of people be collectively so stupid at once? So pathetic, I actually found myself almost pitying them. Each night, I turned it off and watched a Jeopardy rerun, then the baseball game. Much saner. God Bless America.

Take the honk pill. This country is screwed anyway, you might as well embrace the demise and have some laughs, instead of stressing about it. Stressing isn't going to change anything.

Kronke - I agree with you now for the most part on everything about Trump's policies except climate change. That's the part of Trump that stresses me out that I can't laugh off.
Like his new press secretary being roughed up overnight in North Korea by being in the middle of a skirmish between North Korean security and media. That's the comical part of Trump's administration that sounds like an ongoing SNL skit. I guess I feel badly for the new press secretary lady, but she probably knew what she was getting into - she just probably didn't expect a black eye on day one.
Good article from a source on the left about the "circus."
"...In the spin room after Wednesday night’s debate, a blur of heat and bright lights and body odor, John Delaney, the Maryland congressman, was red in the face explaining that none of the voters he talks with care about impeaching Trump. A few feet away, Bill DeBlasio, the New York City mayor, whacked the “moderate folks” like Delaney for not understanding where the base is, promising “a fight for the soul of the party.” Just over his shoulder, Washington Governor Jay Inslee slammed the complacency of his fellow Democrats on the issue of climate change, decrying “the tyranny of the fossil fuel industry” over both political parties.
Joaquin Castro, the congressman and twin brother to Julián, stood off to the side observing the mayhem. Just as he was explaining how “at least 20” reporters had mistaken him for his brother that night, the two of us were nearly stampeded underneath a mob of reporters encircling Elizabeth Warren.
“Man,” he said, looking warily from side to side. “This is surreal.""

"We need to beat Trump"
How in the world does that equate to a legitimate reason to elect someone to be the leader of the free world?
People like you are what makes people like me vote for him in 2020. I sat out the last election.

Why would you re-post that disgusting pic? Does it cause you to think you've made some point that just couldn't be made using words rather than pics? And disgusting pics at that.

Or one could fight it, somehow. I won't be going down without a fight. When the shite hits the fan I promise I won't go willingly. At this late stage of my life I'll be damned if I'm forced to live the way they wish nor will I ever accept them as leaders.

Once was more than enough. Its disrespectful to the people. Re-posting gets one on the ignore list.
The large field seems to be helping the leaders. Unless someone can break out in Iowa, it looks like a 4 horse race-Biden, Sanders, Warren, Harris (29-23-11-11 according to ABC/WaPo poll). Now someone coming out of nowhere in Iowa is not unprecedented. However, Buttgieg seems to be ending his 15 minutes of fame much as O'Roarke has.
Quinnipac yesterday looked worse for Biden and better for Harris, but I've found Quinnipac to be a frequent outlier (and not in a good way).
