In farmville, va. I had some fun visiting friends there and dorm hopping.
You'll crush them.
I always just made the drinking age changes growing up, so for over half of my senior year, I could drink beer in Virginia (or drive to DC for liquor - not so smart). Growing up in Richmond, the trips to Longwood were epic. Plenty of girls, huge keggers in their dorms (Fraser and Curry), and even a mutt like me had repeated success. I love Longwood for the great memories from my senior year of high school that it afforded me.
Ditto. Had a blast at the castle or farm or whatever they called that off campus "frat" house. I think I'm a "honorary lambda chi" or something there. Long story. :)

Wow. That’s possibly their biggest home game ever. I’d be hesitant to take a 2 for 1 with them. Go eagles.
I believe Seton Hall actually played at Longwood a few years back.

Side note-- Cal St. Northridge who was invited to play in the CBI tonight is 13-20. This is not a misprint.

The biggest joke ever? Really?
Southern Miss loss to NAIA William Carey earlier this year at home. I'd say a road game to Longwood for a rando tourney seems fair. Read more, post less.
...and they're footing the bill
we only absorb travel expenses....
what I find amusing is w/o googling, who won this tourney last year?
I know I couldn't tell ya....
North Texas. I read it on an article talking about how CUSA could repeat as champs.
Imagine being the guy who has to write that article.
I want to say it was Patrick Magee.

Charlotte beat Longwood 42-39
Even when USM is good at basketball, they still suck.

USM is not good at basketball. We haven't been good at basketball since Donnie Tyndall.
The fact that USM finished 20-13 and third in CUSA should really trouble our conference brethren. A few days ago I actually convinced myself that CUSA is on the rise...but the more and more I think about it, the fact that USM is the 3rd best team in CUSA really shows just how far CUSA has fallen.

I'm happy for UAB and Southern Mississippi, but the only meaningful postseason basketball tournaments are the NCAA and NIT. [/b]

But some of them (I can't recall if the CBI is part of that group) do guarantee if you travel for the first game and win that game, then you're guaranteed to host the second game (or next game after that - assuming you're not matched up with another team that has been on the road throughout the earlier rounds).
So it looks like CIT
IUPUI at Marshall (the Jim Phelan Classic) - Tuesday, March 19
FAU at Charleston Southern - Thursday, March 21
FIU at Texas State - Saturday, March 23
CBI
USM at Longwood - Wednesday, March 20
UAB at Brown - Wednesday, March 20
Good luck to all the teams. I wonder why WKU and UTSA aren't playing?
ETA - sorry forgot State after Texas. I knew it was Texas State all along but just forgot the extra word. Hell, Texas State might be better than a .500 Texas team right now anyway (with all of UT's injuries, defections, and suspensions).
You really think WKU wants to be associated with anything having to do with these joke of a tournaments.....All of these schools in this tournament are from the bottom of the barrel conferences minus West Virginia who is about 8 games under .500, what a joke...
WKU is LAME

But I also can see the value in it just from an experience standpoint for our younger guys since we'll return a lot of contributors.
Actually it’s more embarrassing that UAB thinks they are above anything.
