Good luck guys
We are playing longwood, is that school or pornstar?
Would be kind of cool if CUSA starts winning this tourney every year with our teams that don't go dancing.

In farmville, va. I had some fun visiting friends there and dorm hopping.

You'll crush them.
I also saw FIU is in the CIT

There must not be any requirement except you’re willing to pay the entry/participation fee. Longwood finished 12-17 with a NET of 291. They finished 9th in the BigSouth which was the 23rd ranked conference.

You only pay if you host

I always just made the drinking age changes growing up, so for over half of my senior year, I could drink beer in Virginia (or drive to DC for liquor - not so smart). Growing up in Richmond, the trips to Longwood were epic. Plenty of girls, huge keggers in their dorms (Fraser and Curry), and even a mutt like me had repeated success. I love Longwood for the great memories from my senior year of high school that it afforded me.
Should they win, Southern Miss will ply the winner of Central Michigan at DePaul.
Likely at DePaul.
UAB will play at Brown and then likely at the winner of Loyola Marymount at Cal Baptist.
We face IUPUI In the opening round. Man there are some schools that come from the woodwork in these tournaments lol

They're a school in Virginia. They've been decent.

EDIT: Just kidding. They suck. Go beat them.

If Southern Miss has any desire at all to win the game then they should get past Longwood fairly easily. Just picture the old Globetrotters (Southern Miss) playing the Washington Generals (Longwood). Good luck and I will be rooting for your team to win the CBI Trophy. These games will pay dividends next season for your young guys if you are able to win a few games.
Go, Fight, Win
Road games? I guess not enough fan support to host and make sense.
The fact that Southern Miss has to travel to Longwood is the biggest joke I have ever heard. C-USA continues to show its incompetence.

Glad I am not only one who feels this way...UAB at Brown is also embarrassing, if you want to play in these 4th rated tournaments at least host..

Ya Longwood is in Farmville, VA. Literally in the middle of nowhere. And Longwood was 15-17 on the year. Why the hell did C-USA and Southern Miss agree to this? This is embarrassing for the conference. Im shocked at this.

Its not really on the conference but individuals schools that decided to execute that joke. I get that they want to play post season but if you are gonna do it at least make sure you ******* host it or play at least a decent to good opponent at their arena not ******* Longwoods or Browns of the world.
A lot of these tournaments are set up where you have to guarantee a gate, and perhaps it's the schools themselves (UAB, USM, etc.) that didn't want to guarantee the gate? But some of them (I can't recall if the CBI is part of that group) do guarantee if you travel for the first game and win that game, then you're guaranteed to host the second game (or next game after that - assuming you're not matched up with another team that has been on the road throughout the earlier rounds).

So it looks like CIT
IUPUI at Marshall (the Jim Phelan Classic) - Tuesday, March 19
FAU at Charleston Southern - Thursday, March 21
FIU at Texas State - Saturday, March 23

CBI
USM at Longwood - Wednesday, March 20
UAB at Brown - Wednesday, March 20

Good luck to all the teams. I wonder why WKU and UTSA aren't playing?

ETA - sorry forgot State after Texas. I knew it was Texas State all along but just forgot the extra word. Hell, Texas State might be better than a .500 Texas team right now anyway (with all of UT's injuries, defections, and suspensions).

Why is Texas playing in a CHIT tournament? How did they not make the NIT?

FAU god a tough draw. Charleston is a solid program.

I'd imagine WKU and UTSA opted out. ODU opted not to play last year.
