Your son or daughter should never be your first cousin once removed. Well, unless you are looking for a kid with a third eye or something.

IDK, the kid would be either very mystical, spiritual or at least have a great imagination. With all of those gurus trying to get people to "open up their 3rd eye", the kid would have an instant advantage out the gate!

I'd settle for a superfluous papilla. It at least scores with the Asian women. I could see enlightenment advantages to the third eye, but it might not be enough to overcome that superfluous appendage.

Of course all it reminds me of an old Southern joke. Why is it in the South everyone knows the numbers of their cousins: first, second, third, and so on? Because the third is legal and fair game. The problem is that in smaller communities they have family hedgerows instead of family trees. But for those who ignore the third cousin rule there are family light poles.

So what their kids will still be smarter than 80% of the global population. Anyway the article mentions nothing about having kids.

In my part of the south 2nd cousins are fair game. 02-13-banana I have a first cousin once removed who is a female version of me but about 15 years younger. We are what some may consider unnaturally close, most of our family and friends think we are doing the nasty. We just laugh at them and do nothing to dispel their suspicions as its a constant source of amusement for us. I guess I can see why some might think we were doing something as we were together almost all the time up until recently when she found her a boyfriend. I do love the girl to no end but no, not like that.

Wait, that dude looks like he's wearing Italian garb...

By the time the Renaissance began, the royal families across all of Europe were inbreeding to various levels. Also, the royal families were intermarrying as well (British house of Hanover (Windsor?) with the Romanovs)

[Image: main-qimg-2b2b85d57b70c5c20adc8ef773d71bfd-c]

The pictures with the deformed men you were asking about are from the house of Habsburg. There were 2 main branches of the Habsburgs - the Austrian one that ruled Austria-Hungary and the Spanish one that ruled Spain. This royal family had hundreds of years of marriage between brothers/sisters, uncles/nieces, first cousins/first cousins, etc... The grossly protruding jaw was famously known as the 'Habsburg Jaw'. The last dude I posted was of Charles II. He was the product of hundreds of years of inbreeding. He was an imbecile, sterile, full of health problems and major speech impediment due to his screwed up jaw.

RE: First Cousins Marry in Colorado
In the particular case of King George V and Tsar Nicholas II, they were first cousins but not the direct products of cousin marriage. George's paternal grandparents (Victoria and Albert) were first cousins and his maternal (and Nicholas II) grandparents were something like 2nd or 3rd cousins (King Christian IX of Denmark).

Their mothers were sisters, probably explaining the similarity in their appearances:
