We noticed that as well the last two games. Oliver was at the games immediately after his announcement of transferring but was absent this week. Probably nothing but it was noticeable. It's good to see Godwin there. We talked to him before the LT game and he was very upbeat. He has a great attitude.

My theory/pure speculation is that Jones told him he would start if he came to ODU - and he is honoring his commitment. We were in dire need of a big when Robinson visited. Robinson lacks skill but I appreciate how hard he plays. And he made a big shot for us against vcu when we were struggling to score.

How hard he plays??? That's the problem with him, he doesn't play with any emotion or energy! He doesn't get position, the only rebounds he gets is if the ball bounces right to him, he doesn't box out, not a good passer. I guess what really frustrates me the most about him is his size with so much potential and its just wasted.

Playing hard vs playing with skill are two different things. He plays hard and you can tell he cares when he’s on the court. The issue appears that he is not that athletic, nor skilled, and wants to play his way. There was one rebound last night that was taken from him that should not have happened (it really ticked me off watching it). And he sat most of the game thereafter. The five mins he plays per game is not impacting the outcome of the game at all.

I’m pretty sure I saw a pick and roll with Robinson that was so poorly executed that Caver ended up running into the Robinson’s “roll” toward the basket. I’ve never seen that before.

I’m sorry I have to LOL at “how hard he plays.” He literally looks like he could care less. There’s NO energy or emotion involved and when Jones talks to him as he gets subbed out he has no reaction. I don’t get how anyone could think he adds any value.

I read his body language and facial expressions differently than you do.

I love how even when we have a convincing win to put us back in the top 4/upper pod (and a nice win streak in conference play), we still find something to argue about lol

Yeah, couch psychologist don't believe a guy that plays 6 mins a game shows enough emotion and thus he doesn't try (or care).

You need to turn that around! He only plays 4-6 minutes per game BECAUSE he doesn't show emotion or act like he cares! 7'1" 285 lbs and gets pushed around like he was a child, doesn't box out, rebound or pass? Was he like this at LSU? Were we so desperate for a BIG man that we had to accept him? Until he showed me that he wants to be a part of this team and put out the same intensity of his teammates, he rids the bench! Dickins, Ezipke and Carver can handle the load and give us more production.

Isn't he a grad transfer? If so, I'm going with he does care and is doing the best he can. If he's already graduated, I can't imagine any other reason for him to come from Texas to Va. to play one year. Free Grad degree? maybe, but I doubt that's whats motivating him.
