#1. Deon Edwin (6'3''-G-92, graduated '17, plays pro in Ukraine) could not help Khimik (9-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Khimik lost 77-83 at home to the lower-ranked (#4) Mykolaiv. Edwin was the second best scorer with 21 points. He also added 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 30 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Edwin's second season in pro basketball. Edwin has relatively good stats this year 14.7ppg, 3.7rpg, 4.3apg and 1.7spg in 12 games he played so far.
#2. Jimmy Hall (6'8''-F-94, graduated '17, plays in Israel) led Elitzur Kiryat Ata to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Hap.Haifa (5-2) 101-99 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Thursday night. He was MVP of the game. Hall recorded a double-double by scoring 38 points and getting 13 rebounds; not bad, considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Elitzur Kiryat Ata (4-3) is placed fifth in the National League. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Hall has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 21.7ppg, 14.6rpg, 3.0apg and 1.6spg.
#3. Christopher Evans (6'8''-SF-91, graduated '13, currently in Spain) contributed to a Gran Canaria's surprising victory against the fifth-ranked Armani Milano (6-5) 94-86 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. He scored 8 points in 15 minutes. Herbalife Gran Canaria (4-7) is placed 13th in the Euroleague. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Evans has relatively good stats this year 10.4ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.2apg in 11 games.
#4. Marvin Jones (7'0''-C-93, played in 2014-16, plays pro in Slovenia) was not able to help P.Olimpija in their game against Cedevita (6-4) in the ABA League. Jones recorded 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The bottom-ranked P.Olimpija was defeated 95-82 on the road by the much higher-ranked Cedevita (#4). It's Jones' first season with the team. This year he averages 5.6ppg and 4.0rpg.
#5. Christopher Ortiz (6'8''-F-93, graduated '16, plays in Finland) was the major contributor in a Helsinki Seagulls' shocking victory against the second-ranked BC Nokia (6-2) crushing them 118-75 in the Finnish Korisliiga on Saturday night. He recorded 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in 26 minutes. Helsinki Seagulls (4-6) is placed ninth in the Korisliiga. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Ortiz has relatively good stats this year 14.3ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.5apg in eight games. He is a naturalized Puerto Rican.
#6. Derek Jackson (6'1''-PG-91, graduated '15, currently in Switzerland), who plays in the Swiss SBL was not able to secure a victory for Swiss Central (2-7) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Swiss Central was defeated 78-67 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Neuchatel (#3). Jackson was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 7 rebounds. Jackson has relatively good stats this season 14.8ppg, 4.4rpg, 5.9apg and 3.8spg.
#7. Xavier Pollard (6'4''-G-91, graduated '16, plays pro in Switzerland) couldn't help Lugano Tigers (4-5) in their last game. Despite Pollard's very good performance Lugano Tigers were edged 67-66 on their home court in Lugano by the lower-ranked (#5) Monthey. He scored 15 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 40 minutes. Pollard has very impressive stats this year 17.7ppg, 5.2rpg, 6.1apg and 1.5spg in 10 games.
#8. Anthony Simpson (6'8''-F/C-87, graduated '10, plays in Indonesia) led NSH to a victory over the second-ranked Pacific Caesar crushing them 104-63 in the Indonesian IBL on Sunday night. Simpson was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 12 rebounds. Simpson also added 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). This season Simpson has very high stats. He averages 23.6ppg, 13.8rpg, 2.4apg and 2.0spg.
#9. Rashad Woods (6'6''-G/F-86, graduated '09, currently in Taiwan), who plays in the Taiwanese SBL couldn't help Bank of Taiwan (2-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan was edged 77-74 on their home court in by the leading Taiwan Beer. Woods was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 31 minutes. Woods has very impressive stats this year 19.4ppg, 5.1rpg and 2.0apg in seven games. He is a naturalized Bahraini.
#10. Bryson Pope (6'7''-SF-90, graduated '13, plays pro in France) helped Caen edge the closely-ranked Poitiers 86-85 in the French ProB (second division) last Friday. He scored 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. This season Pope averages 6.6ppg, 4.1rpg and 2.4apg.
