Troy fans were much less delusional than App fans so it just wasn't as much fun. Sorry to disappoint you.

Yep. Is was pretty obvious how much fun y'all were having. Cherry picking comments and claiming we had no clue what we were doing. Glad y'all have found something better to do than harass Troy fans during this process. Good luck Troy. Hope y'all find someone to continue the tradition if need be.

There are two main differences, 1) Appy had a lot more fans posting about it than Troy fans do right now so there are less posts here to reply to, and 2) we don't have as heated of a rivalry with Troy as we do with Appy. So less balls to bust, and quite simply more reasonable conversation can be had.

Also, you have to admit that SOME of your posters on here were out of their mind and had zero clue how the process worked. SOME did think Satt would never leave because it wasn't about the money for him..... and others were amazed when they found out that the coaching staff would be "gutted". Far be it from us to let gold mine posts like that go without a reply. 04-cheers

Most hoped Satterfield would leave for a better job than Louisville, especially with the continuity from this season to next. However, App hasn't beaten a P5 since 2007 so I believe many people will be interested to see if the next staff can do it.

Of course. Is that not why we are all here?

Nothing official yet, but it's looking more and more like Neal has accepted a deal. Maybe we'll know something soon.

So because Houston got hurt feelings over their bowl loss to Army, Troy loses Brown.

Oh well, next man up! Glad we had him for 4 years.

The good thing is that Brown leaves the cupboard loaded. Next season will still be a good one, no matter who the coach is.

Good luck at WVU, Neal Brown. I'm still bitter about the win you gave us in 2016, BTW...

Not sure. There's some saying that Koenning may be next HC for Troy, some saying he may go to WVU.

Coaching matters. Not saying you won’t have a successful season, but you need someone that knows how to use that talent.

You better believe coaching matters. Look no further than GS for proof of that. We hope we can keep Lunsford 4 years if we continue the success of this year

Actually it is just dumb luck on WVU part. The above premise is sort of true but CNB was leaving sometime and really soon. Of course we would have loved to have the talent that we have with him for another year but WE wish him the best because he has done so much for our program and indeed a really good coach and what I hear and have seen a very straight shooter.

Not saying that isn't the case... Just saying it's not a guarantee... 'Cause reasons.

It will be interesting to see how Troy handles the hiring process compared to App considering how similar the two programs are right now.

If Im Troy's AD I only have 1 coach on speed dial right now. And that is John Grass at Jacksonville State. He is 52-12 there with a trip to the IAA National Title Game. He is also a disciple of Bill Clark. No matter what you think of UAB, you can't say that Clark hasn't done an amazing job there.

RE: WVU
Grass seems to be brought up for any G5 opening in the south. His name was thrown around for our last two coaching searches. For whatever reason the message board speculation around Grass never seems to spawn any reported interest in most cases.
