Bravo. Bravo. That was a master's class on how to handle the child president. He lied, and they politely gave him the smackdown. Encore. Encore.

Sure they did. When they realized Trump was OWNING them and their TRUE motives were about to be uncovered.
Trump has been talking about the wall for years. He ran on it, he won on it, the people who voted for him SUPPORT it.
Love how Upchuck and Skeletor talk about things like "compromise" and "working together" when they will absolutely refuse to discuss the wall. Trump would probably give them a few things, but he wants the wall in exchange.
Now who's not willing to "work together"?

Democrats are just delusional. They came out looking terrible. Both sides were probably losers, but they lost worse. This article says it all:
"Congressional Democrats are feeling smug — and actually a little excited — for the looming shutdown fight with the president after Tuesday’s Oval Office meeting...."
The entire thing baffled Pelosi. It’s a “cultural phenomenon,” Pelosi told her colleagues, that “the fate of our country [is] in the hands of this person.....""

They, along with their followers, don’t understand that light up ahead in the tunnel is a freight train.....

Guys, we get it, you didn't like Obama and his personality...which like most presidents is fairly narcissistic. But when you try to compare his levels to that of the current president you just look silly. There is really no comparison...and deep down, I'm pretty sure you know this.

I haven't seen anything from Trump that compares with turning Mile High Stadium into neo-Nuremberg. Let's just say that both are too narcissistic for my taste, by wide margins. Then again, I'm not sure that anyone but a narcissistic egomaniac would think it's worth putting him/herself and her/his family through the process of becoming president.
This whole thing has gotten out of hand, IMO. I think the solution would be to go back to what I have always understood to be the original concept of the founding fathers, that the real power would be in congress. The legislative branch is Article I, remember. But congress has pretty much ceded that ground to the executive because it's a hell of a lot easier to keep getting elected fo 40 years if you never have to make any tough decisions. Actually that would to the executive and the judicial, because most of the tough decisions these days end up being either resolved in executive agency proceedings or adjudicated in court. So we are supposed to be a democratic republic, but the power belongs to unelected and unaccountable judges and bureaucrats. What could possibly go wrong?
