Since two of you ODU fellas have taken a shot at us for playing Mid-America Christian, a school I had never heard of before either btw, I just wanted to say that our strength of schedule right now is #45 and yours is #243. Yes, we've played a couple of lightweights, but most of our opponents have been pretty legit, apparently far more so than yours.

Yea but we're coming to San Antonio and spanking that ass on January 26th.

I appreciate the smack, but that is one game I have marked as a potential loss due to that road stretch. @Char @UTEP @UTSA... that travel blows. I would be thrilled to come out of SA with a win.

You guys have literally beaten no one. The fact that north Texas fans are touting this 10-1 record as something to be proud of is ridiculous.

North Texas's SOS is ranked 334 on kenpom. That's pretty low. That's even worse than our 310!

3 of those wins come from non d1 teams. These ranking systems are pointless until the end of th season. Don’t understand why some of my fellow odu fans are so concerned with being PC.

ODU has come to SA and lost before. I remember brackets had y'all as an at large bid at the time.

The fact that you think being happy about a 10-1 record (OR really 7-1 to exclude the non-D1 teams) with a few votes in the coaches poll is ridiculous is ridiculous.

We gave OU all they could handle for 3/4s of the game until their size advantage took over. We beat who we were supposed to beat. Will that continue? I don't know, but it's good for the conference, and frankly, more than ODU can say at this point.

If only we played 3/4ths of games, imagine what our records would be...

I'm not the one suggesting you being happy is bad. That's not how I jive. Glad you all feel good. But Odu fans are very familiar with pumping up records against no one - last year our AD kept bragging about all the wins we had. We literally beat nobody. Turns out our only good wins were Marshall 2x and we didn't know that was a good win until NCAAT time. That hopefully gives you more insight on why touting a 10 win record against nobody triggers Odu fans.

And you can dish the SOS against ODU too if you want. The difference is nobody from Odu is bragging.

WKU’s Charles Bassey named freshman of the week for the 3rd time, I’d be amazed if he isn’t freshman of the year if not player of the year

I was not touting anything. I just reported what was in the rankings vote. You are being a little touchy.

Personally, I'm very happy to be 10-1. It is much better then where we usually have been at this point in the season. Also, some of the programs on our schedule have been at least decent recently. Hawaii has a winning record and a win over Utah this season. Indiana State is 6-2 with wins over San Jose State and WKU. And, UTA may be struggling through a very tough OOC schedule, but they are usually one of the better Sun Belt programs, and also have win over ODU. Aside from the Oklahoma game, UNT has done what we needed to do, and against the teams we were supposed to beat, and the teams we could have lost to. By the way, in the new coaches poll, North Texas received 7 votes.

No, they don't. Not sure who you're thinking of but ODU has never played UTA.

I looked for information on its freshman class and found out that his name was Tim. I'm genuinely curious how UTSA found the second-best college program in a town (Elizabeth City, N.C.) that almost nobody outside of Eastern Carolina and Tidewater could place on a map. No hate here, it just seems so random.

Today the 'Runners played Mid-AMERICA Christian University, an NAIA Sooner Athletic Conference team from Oklahoma City.

It's a senior-laden team -- 11 of 15 Evangels on the roster are seniors. Twelve of the 15 are transfers, including Will Gibbons from FAU. Only two sophomores and one senior have played for only MACU after high school. With today's loss, its record dropped to 6-4.

Last year, MACU basketball finished T5 in the SAC (11-9 in conference, 21-14 overall).

FYI ... MACU was established originally as South Texas Bible Institute in Houston in 1953. It changed its name to Gulf-Coast Bible College in 1955 and established a relationship with the Church of God in 1968. Needing room to expand, it moved to Oklahoma City, dedicating its new campus in 1985 and renaming itself Mid-America Bible College. The college was renamed Mid-America Christian University in 2002. It claims enrollment of more than 2,800 students.

FTR, the other (Elizabeth City, N.C.) MACU ... formerly Roanoke Bible College ... competes in the 81-member US Collegiate Athletic Association (formerly the National Little College Athletic Association and the National Small College Athletic Association). So far this year, its record is 1-6.)

That took some work!

Diddle will be electric on the 29th.

Hate I have to miss that one, but wife would literally kill me driving down for this game on her bday weekend...At least will be in attendance for St. Mary's game, two great opportunities coming up but we will all learn about WKU when we go to Belmont and play Wed. Dec. 19th...

I'm happy UNT is doing so well right now. Hope it translates to successful conference play too. I don't know if you can tell or not, but I root for all CUSA teams during OOC play

I think he was trying to use the transitive property with UTAs win over Northern Iowa, who split the two games they played against ODU. We all know how accurate the transitive property is at predicting winners;
