Lets not rewrite history. I think it was in good nature, and even got the kid some free UC gear.

Yeah, CBJ pic was douchy, most coaches leave and the fanbases get butt hurt, but get over it. That was forever ago.

UC is 6-1 and ahead of schedule. Enjoy it.

What if I enjoy complaining about what a douchy guy CBJ is?

Enjoy doing this now, enjoy the Bearcats Saturday!

That was the best thing Jones did. We have too many students, alums and residents in this town supporting other programs—- that’s the major reason why we are in the AAC. TV knows our market is so divided over half the town is watching the B10 game on another station instead of the Bearcats.

No question in my mind, we need more fans and more passionate fans. Not that we need more of the OSU/UK obnoxious sycophants, but more Red and Black around this town would certainly make a stronger statement.

UC football is still playing catch up for share of mind. The 2009 undefeated season was the culmination of what began slowly under Rick Minter and accelerated when Dantonio and the Big East rolled into town. UC students from the past decade jumped on board and stayed. Fickell seems poised to sustain on-field success which is a critical component.

But consistently filling Nippert/Fifth Third Arena makes a major statement on national TV. UC's P5 aspirations reside with alumni and fans to some degree. A half empty Nippert on TV for a game would look more like the MAC than the ACC. Appearances do matter.

Jones did act like an ass at times. However, he did not "harass" a student. He told a staff member to buy her some UC gear at the bookstore. Frankly, she should have known better wearing another teams swag, next to where the team was practicing. Meyer has done the same at "that school from central ohio." I was fully behind Lyle on this one.

This and holding some rope are one of the few things Lyle handled well during his time at UC.

I heard Butch Jones eats babies, and the worst part is that he eats them with store-brand ketchup. That stuff is sugar water... it's just deplorable.

There are many coaches with area connections that are way better choices such as:

Niumatalolo
Schiano
Rhule
Satterfield
Collins
Golden
Monken

I won't be surprised if Temple and Kentucky will be in need of coaches after this season. I think Stoops takes his winnings from the UK slot machine and parlays it into something bigger and better. UK will always be an uphill battle against the traditional powers in the SEC and there is so little in the way of high major football talent in the state to sustain success.

Yep...I could easily see Stoops jumping to someone like Michigan State if they cut ties with Dantonio. Really, just anywhere that Vince Marrow can get overnight shipping to Ohio on duffel bags weighing more than five pounds.

My well heeled Michigan State alumni neighbor says Dantonio is not going anywhere. He is doing OK with their young talent in his (and his friends') opinion.

Dantonio is 95th on the Coaches Hot Seat list.

Not a lot of big names high up on that list. Not sure if there will be any openings at programs that would be a significant step up from UK this year.

He wants to go where he'll be comfortable, where he'll be consistently outcoached week to week.

Jones would tell you over a glass of milk how much he respects women and how safe your daughter is in his hands. Both would sleep with your daughter that night."

Coach Luke Fickell is the guy who would come over and tell you that your daughter has the potential to improve her 40 time, but there is a lot of work to do. She is going to have to ask herself, "Do I have the commitment to put in the time in the weight room?" she is going to have to ask herself, "Will I take nutrition seriously?" , she is going to have to ask herself, "Will I put TEAM first??? !!!!"

And then Coach Luke Fickell would nod his head up and down three times, look you dead in the eye with those crazy eyes, and then jump up off your living room couch and run out the door. As he gets into his Tahoe he shouts "Sorry, but I have game film to review!!! Ask your daughter if she really has it in her to be the best!"

Coach Luke Fickell wants your daughter to get a good night of restful sleep so that she can concentrate, train and function at her highest capability.
