Yes, if you took the best teams out of each and made one conference it would probably be pretty good, but travel would be insane and it would never happen anyways.

Our TV deal blows, but that can be remedied by a new, non crappy CUSA commissioner

Yeah, right. I'm sure the school playing football and basketball have nothing to do with the TV Deal? Lets be honest for a second, the play in this conference is probably a lot worse than the commissioner. The fan support in this conference is worse than the Crappy commissioner.

If you can't get 11,000 to show up and I'm talking actually showing up, to watch a Tech vs UAB game and only 1.8k watching on Face Book.....

why would someone, like Fox Sports or CBSS or espn sports.....pay for the rights to that game?

I thought Birmingham, Alabama was the college football capital of the USA? If that's the case you would think at least half of those that attend a home game would find their way to Face Book...FREE. It's not like they made the trip to Ruston...well maybe 50, parents did.

So again why is it the Crappy commissioner's fault, maybe 13k showed up in person or watched the game on Face Book?

We have higher/comparable attendance as a conference than the Sunbelt and MAC, so that's all moot.

Our TV deal is worse though

I'm pretty sure LT fans left the LT/UAB game because there was a 1 hour lightning delay, but I don't know. Ask them

Edit: people don't watch college football games on facebook. Maybe one day, but there's a clear reason no one else really does that lol. If I had to make a guess, a vast majority of people who watch football don't know that college football on facebook is even a thing

RE: I believe it's obvious
The only thing I’ll add about ooc is that sometimes the schools that buy body bag games it backfires on them. I’m not sure when UNT scheduled Arkansas, but the timing worked out in a way that allowed North Texas to pick up a nice paycheck and a win. Same with UTSA vs Baylor last year. If we had anything resembling a decent team, we could have taken advantage of how weak Tennessee is this year. Sometimes when games are scheduled years in advance, they may seem like an automatic loss but you might just catch them at the right time for an upset.

I think you might be the only person aware of the point you're trying to make. What exactly are you responding to?

Stay in school.

Lol stay in school. You have no idea what I do. The point is we have played and will play tough OOC, last 8 years and scheduled for the next 4. You, as in UNT have no grounds on telling what people to do or schedule. You have a winning % of 28 over 40 years. So you have awful success and none of your blueprints for success work. End of story. You beat an awful SMU, and a beyond awful Arkansas. You r in 5 place in the west but you act like you've already won the division. You got embarrassed by FAU last year & so there's no reason to listen to UNT fans about success, because over a large sample size you have none.

For one, where did you get the number 40? At the top, it says 54 years. Keep scrolling down.

Second, whether you looked at 40 or 54 seasons, simple math would tell you a winning percentage of 28 is utterly wrong. You can eyeball the 40 seasons you posted and figure that out.

If you mean we've played in 8 bowls and have only won 2 out of those 8, then yes.

Third, and most important, I never said anything about UNT being this or being that. I didn't even say anything truly critical about UTSA other than that they didn't go bowling because they didn't do well in conference play. My entire point was wholly and totally directed at your ridiculous statements about UTSA's OOC schedule and it preventing UTSA from making a bowl.

Dude I do have a degree. I also served in the military & have a pretty damn good job. I also have a masters. So sorry to disappoint you.

Lizard, First let me say thank you for your years of service to this great nation that is truly something to be recognized. Also, UTSA is doing amazing in such a short time period and CUSA made the right decision bringing UTSA into the fold. At the same time, NT and most every other new addition to this conference is putting the best foot forward. We need to come together, go ahead and say Kumbaya lol, and stop nit picking each other.
Most of the everyday CFB fans used to say that the ACC was the weakest power conference because they beat each other up in conference play with alot of parity. However, the outcome of parity creates great competition and eventually raises the level of play of the conference as a whole. It happened in the ACC and Its possible for the same to happen in this version of CUSA. The first version of CUSA took time to evolve into a very exciting brand of football. Go ahead and laugh but I hope this happens for this version as well because its getting old waiting for the glass ceiling to brake.
