He'll get them to some degree IMO. It'll just be harder since there's absolutely no talent like this in the immediate Lincoln area, or even a few states over. Most of these guys came from within a few hours of UCF - now he's gotta fly all over the country to lure people to Lincoln.

We'll see. I am a full believer in his system and him as a HC, he certainly proved that out. But I'm not sure he can get the players to Nebraska to run that system and be able to overtake OSU.

The good news for him is that the B1G West is really weak and he could contend for that division title fairly soon.

USM has an offensive lineman in Miss. that is down to USM and Nebraska. Frost has his work cut out for him if he is in a recruiting battle with USM for an offensive lineman.

I'll give the guy this- he knows everything about his offensive system and knows exactly what guys he needs to run it. He pulled Milton from Hawaii whose only other offer was Hawaii and turned out to be a stud.

He needs particular linemen to run his offense so this kid probably ticks a lot of boxes that Frost wants. Most of our current OLine was brought in and developed under Frost and they're pretty damn dominant today.

UCF was about 0.500 and averaged low 20s attendance from joining D1A to leaving the MAC. Not great by any means, but typical for a MAC/CUSA school. The NCAA doesn't have attendance records for individual teams from 2004, but here's all the new CUSA members in 2005...

UTEP 47,899
UCF 28,462
Marshall 26,510
Tulsa 22,826
SMU 18,630
Rice 10,072

So CUSA was okay with Tulsa, SMU, and Rice but UCF needed Marshall to convince them to overlook our terrible attendance. 01-wingedeagle

The moment Miami left for the ACC, UCF was on it's way out of the MAC. The only question was if we were replacing Miami in the BE or USF in CUSA. Unfortunately for UCF, our terrible basketball program at the time gave USF the edge with the BE.

FAU...what are your honest feelings about this game? UCF what about you? I honestly don't know how much UCF returned this year. Let's get some honest score predictions...

I think we win something like 52-30.

We (UCF) brought back pretty much everyone on offense minus TreQuan Smith and added a high impact transfer (Nixon). Heupel's system is very similar to Frost's and very explosive.

Defense- had to replace 3 guys all playing as rookies in the NFL right now. Still, lots of talent and got it together in blanking SC State 2 weeks ago.

I trust Randy Shannon to keep improving the D.

How about a steel man of FAU's team?

Steel man? Not sure what that is. I duno, I only saw them against OU and it seemed like their lines were shoved around on both sides. Nothing for Singletary to do. QB looked inaccurate but seems like he's calmed down.

Defense has been suspect all season.

I still expect them to come out swinging given how big this game is for FAU and being road underdogs.

Defense returned 10 starters from the top interception team from last season. All 20 interceptions return. 15 of the top 16 tacklers return.

OL is our biggest problem. Unless they jell, Singletary can't be as effrective as he has to be.

Total BS that it wasn't targeting. That play was the exact definition of targeting. What ??

"When in doubt, it is targeting."

Umm, wth?

14-14. Right or wrong, regardless who you support, this is one heck of a game.

Singletary now has 9 TDs. Although, I must admit, we had a few dicey moments in there. And that hit by Al-Shaair WAS out-of-bounds, in my opinion. We dodged a bullet right there.

Got away with targeting, but I really like Singletary. We will see him for awhile in the NFL barring infuries.

We have a few decent QBs talent wise but I think Robison just needs in game experience. Driskel doesn’t have Robisons skill set but he had composure. I think Robison will be a flat out stud in a few more games.
